FitBit Friends

Options
Hi Guys,

I'm looking for others who use FitBit regularly. I find that I do a lot better when I'm "competing" against others, which is one of the reasons I love FitBit's friend rankings. If you want to be FitBit friends, let me know! I'm here: https://www.fitbit.com/user/26SCNQ.

Thanks,

Stacey

I actually just posted a status about this -- I don't want to hijack the thread but do you all recommend purchasing a FitBit? What do you primarily use it for? What are the key benefits? I've looked into purchasing one but haven't done any in-depth research yet.

    Thanks!

Yes, I recommend purchasing a fitbit (fitbit flex in my case). I love having it track my steps and track my calories. My runs are almost never "one speed", and I would much rather fitbit calculate calories and miles than trying to guess myself. I also love that it tracks my sleep, as I have a sleeping disorder. It's nice to know if I'm feeling tired, it's probably because I only got 6 hours of good sleep even though I was in bed for 8 hours. I love the game of the competition as well. I think my bf and my Mom are both getting one. Plus it sends you a weekly e-mail, so I can see if my steps, miles, etc. are increasing. I also love the badges. I once walked more than necessary to get a 15K badge. Next time I do a 5K, I'll probably go for a 20K badge.

If your primary exercise activity isn't step related (stairs, walking, running, etc.), then you need to track the time and input the activity and time started manually into MFP.

I can't seem to figure out how to add people unless I have their e-mail, or they are a facebook friend. Can anyone help?
