Flat Feet and the Hyprocure

I've got collapsed arches. Basically, my feet couldn't be any flatter. There might have been something that doctors or physical therapists could've done when I was younger, but now there's nothing else I can do about it except to wear orthotics in my shoes while taking pain killers in the morning. I wear motion control or stability shoes and it's been a great deal of help. The pain has been getting worse and it's particularly bad after walking or standing. I've played sports on it but I always end up soaking my feet in ice afterwards.

I've been looking at surgical options but I haven't found much information. The old method for this would've been to fuse the bones in my foot together. The newer method is this thing called the HyproCure stent. Basically, a titanium stent goes into your foot to correct the posture of the arch forever. I simply can't find enough information about it and it's purely elective and out of pocket, which is another issue entirely. Has anyone out there ever heard of this? Has this changed your life at all?

    We just had this done for our 12yr old son. He will be 13 in a wk. He had the first foot done w/ hyprocure on July 1st, our doctor also fixed his tight Achilles' tendon by stretching the fascia around it. Instead of cutting like alot of doctors said he needed.
    He just went on to have his second surgery on August 26, he is now 19 days out of his second surgery & has a foot cast on & is moving around w/out any pain. The other foot is now holding all his weight & looks amazing. He has an arch & the back of his legs are now straight & not curved in. We can't wait til he gets his cast off next wk he will be walking again. This procedure was just amazing & we are so lucky we are able to get this done for him at such a young age.
    Make sure you find a Master Surgeon in your area. The procedure only takes 15mins.
    BTW our insurance covered about 80%, we have PPO Anthem Blue. HTH's

    I'm looking into having the hypocure tarsi implant procedure. Can anyone give me any feedback who's had this done and who they would recommend as a Master Surgeon of whom they've had good results with.
