Is 2100 calories too much?

I'm a girl, 16 years old and 6 ft tall. I weigh about 130 pounds and I play volleyball 5 days a week. I've been eating about 2100 calories a day and I wanted to know if that is the right amount to maintain my weight.

  • I'd recommend you plug in your numbers & goals into MFP & let it give you some idea.

You may also want to check out http://iifym.com/tdee-calculator/ to get a better idea of recommended caloric allowance in accordance with your age, height, weight, and activity level.

    Good luck!

At 16 you aren't really meant to be on here, but I did plug your numbers into the Scooby workshop & your TDEE would be about 2400 calories as I would put you into the high level of activity (I'm assuming at least 5-6 hrs of stenuous per week) and in fact, might be more. Try to eat as much as you can as you are young and active.
