Last hurdles.

Hi, about three years ago I was 172lbs, and realised I needed to lose weight. I made an effort over a few months to get down to 144lbs, then lost another 20lbs and now fluctuate between 124 and 128lbs.

Ideally i'd like to lose another half a stone or so for vanity reasons but am sturggling with the motivation.

I think in order to look the way i want, I will have to eat a whole lot cleaner, or focus on weights more to change my body. These things to me seem a hell of a lot harder than losing the weight, and scaier because they mean changing up everything I've been doing so far. Half of the time I think I look fine now, but the other ahlf thinks I could do better.

Has anyone got close to their ideal weight and made the next big step to working towards being happier with their body?

    How tall are you?
I, too am at your weight range at 5'2" and I'd like to lose a few more but it's been difficult cause I like food too much to really put in the effort required to go lower.

    Hi, I'm 5ft 4.

Yeah I go through phases of trying to make better food choices but it doesn't stick very long as my partner isn't really interested in it either which makes it easy for me to just eat as normal with him!

Just wondered if it was normal to get to close to goal but accept youre fine as you are, or are there people out there who want to push through the 'fine' barrier and be better than fine lol.

Lacking motivation right now to push through but at the same time I'm still not as happy with my body as I'd like.

I did that. After I lost 60 lbs over a year and a half or so from my job, I grew complacent, and actually grew a little more out of shape. The weight stayed the same but I know I've lost some muscle since then. I've tried a few times to get back on the horse, but never really had a plan to follow. I think it's about having elements to support your goal or plan. If I started working out without dieting and/or without a fairly specific goal in mind, I'd be done next week probably, but the way it's set up, (and I'm on my own most of the time so that helps) nearly everything I do is to further my goal. But how someone else looks at it will almost undoubtedly be different in some way than how I look at it, so there's that too.
