DeJaVue Again

Good Morning,
My name is Sarah and I am 52ish and I am starting again. I feel like I spend more time starting new weight loss ideas than actually sticking to them. I was part of WW for awhile but they are just too expensive. I heard a bit about MFP so here I am to see if this may be the one for me. I started WW about 8 yrs ago and lost about 27 lbs on the plan but as I mentioned the price was a bit much. I have since got back up to the weight I was 8 years ago that I hated so much about me. I would like to take a picture of me and my husband at the family christmas tree trimming and not hide the tree. I guess now is as good a time as any to get started.

Hi Sarah! Here's to great Christmas pics! Feel free to add me.
  • I've had to tell myself its not a diet, its a life style change. A lot of my family and friends laugh at me but I just smile and let them. Because until I can get a mind set that I want to do this: I am willing to weigh my food and count my calories the rest of my life if need be to be a better me.. Well then so be it! So yes to me its a life style change :D .

Good Luck and you're most welcome to add me :)

There is no magic here. What you need is the ability to take the long view while at the same time focus only on the current day. Set an appropriate, not too aggressive calorie goal, weigh your food meticulously, eat a wide variety of foods, including some special treats, and try not to obsess.

This is not easy, but as you can see. . . . many people here have done it. You can too! Good luck.
  • Feel free to add me... I'm trying to get back to where I was and was so successful before with MFP!
