MONKEY BARS
makes 40 bars
1 2/3 cups mashed bananas
3/4 cups packed light-brown sugar
1/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup whole milk (i used skim)
2 large eggs
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup mini chocolate chips
directions
step one: preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 15x10x1/2 inch baking pan with foil or parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides
step two: in a large bowl, whisk together the bananas, sugar, oil, milk, eggs, vanilla, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Add the flour and whisk to combine; fold in 1/2 of the chocolate chips.
step three: spread batter in the prepared pan and sprinkle with the remaining chocolate chips. bake until wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. about 15-20 minutes.
step four: transfer the square to a cutting board by using the foil overhangs. Cut into 40 bars.

80 calories
3 g fat (1 g sat fat)
1 g protien
13g carbs
1 g fiber
11 mg cholesterol
52 mg sodium
I just made this today, and i am eating one now- it is so amazing
the bars are approximately 3x1 1/2 inches in size.
I got this recipe from "Woman's Day Special-Eating Light" magazine.
I hope you guys enjoy it as much as i do. it defiantly satisfies a sweets craving!!!!
