I usually have a cheat day every Saturday, not a go nuts day, but where I can eat something I have wanted all week.
But... next weekend is superbowl, so im trying to be good this weekend completely, because I know superbowl sunday isnt going to be my best day, and im allowing myself to have fun that day.

However, this Saturday were having a family card game night
so I know there is going to be a lot of chips (my absolute weekness) and wings and pizza and everything else.

What can I bring or do to not completely cave?
or should i allow myself to snack both this saturday and then again next sunday (and next sunday is going to be a real bad one)

  • I say .. Eat what you want........ ( just in smaller quanities)... Lets face it.. sometimes its to hard to be very very good.. so we have to be just somewhat good.. and not beat yourself up..... just plan on some extra exercise............ :)

Maybe if you eat and drink water before all of the events, you won't be as hungry. This way you can still sample all of your favorites but won't indulge.

Try to have some healthy options... chips are my ABSOLUTE weakness as well..... if I know they are there, i HAVE to have some... but if I can resist one I'm good, the moment you have 1 it's all over!!!
Try doing some exercise as well..... I'm not a fan of exercising so if I do it and then have my splurge, it's usually not as bad because I remember how hard it was working out and didn't want it to go to waste!

Just make sure you have healthy snacks on hand for both weekends:) Don't deny yourself, try your best to each the 'junk' in way smaller amounts and break it up with the healthier options. Dig deep - you have the will power and ask yourself, it that 3rd, 4th, 5th, 10th helping of chips really worth it. Good luck - I'll be doing the same this weekend at a 40th b-day and again for super bowl next weekend too:)

Enjoy yourself- in moderation- and bring healthy options too! And get a work out in beforehand so you have some extra calories to use up! Have fun!

Oh I know what you mean! My parents brought some chips, dip and other things over for a game one night and I didn't want to hurt their feelings, so I put a few chips and very little dip on the plate, but I nibbled on it FOREVER so basically everytime they glanced at me I was eating, but not gulping it down- I felt better the next morning when I was listening to my hubby talk about how he had over ate :) Life is full of choices some are hard, some easy, but it's our choice how to operate! Enjoy the game and whatever you decide to eat:drinker:
