I joined MFP 2 weeks ago. I've lost 5 lbs, looking to get down 100 more. Just wanted to reach out and find people on here, whether similar goals or for advice, etc. All support is great and I know this isn't going to be an easy journey. Have you just started toward your goal? Are you already there or halfway? Would love to hear everyone's stories!

Best wishes -- after numerous failures and almost giving up - I finally hit my stride. A calorie app has been awesome for me.
Been at it since 12/1/13...down 135 with another 40 pounds or so to go...Once I get within 15 pounds of goal I should know exactly where I want to end up.0 -

I need to lose 100 lbs and failure is not an option. My health is dwindling and I am losing my family. Help, anybody. This is going to be a long and difficult journey that I can't do alone. Well I'm always open to new friends. I started this past May. I have over 100lbs to lose so I'l be arounds safe to say lol. I've just been watching calorie amounts (whatever I want in my limits) and I go to the gym 3x a week doing mostly cardio atm- hoping to add more weights in as I get closer to my goal. I like to think being 53 lbs in I'm doing okay lol.

I keep reading trainers and people who only have 20 lbs to lose saying some judge mental things about others who find weight loss hard! Why?

I need to lost much more than 100lbs but that is my first goal. I started in July and have lost about 40lbs. I hike daily and try to walk about 3 miles a day. Every single muscle in my body hurts and i have days i just want to give up but i havent. I have no friends on MFP but would love to start adding some. Good luck to you.0

I have 250lbs to lose. I would love to be your friend! This time around, I have decided to make small goals rather than look at the big picture. Instead of saying I need to lose 250lbs and not being able to see a light at the end of the tunnel, my goal right now is to lose 50lbs by Halloween. I've lost 43, so I'm almost there. Hi there, I have 100+ pounds to lose. I started this journey about April 2013 and lost about 20lbs. I really started fluctuating around September through till Christmas 2013 where I pretty much gave up and gained everything back. It was about March 2014, where I got serious, did some reading and made a plan. I have been able to be successful with weight loss, but find I am struggling now that I have lost close to 60lbs. I have been plateauing since about the beginning of September which is super frustrating for me. I am hoping to lose another 50lbs by February 2015.
