Feeling no motivation whatsoever for this past week. I'm usually able to boost my mood with a trip to the shopping mall and some delicious treats... (DQ is now the enemy.) But since I'm broke and dieting, there's been no change. Oh, annnddd I just dumped my boyfriend..

What a week! :(

Replies

  • well I can't really relate since A. all I have to do is see myself naked to be motivated B. getting a kick *kitten* HIT workout in my bedroom is FREE and C. dumping my boyfriend would mean being able to finally meet NEW men in turn wanting a NEW body to feel confident with for flirting ;-)

so along those lines, I hope you find the motivation
  • Keep your head up! You can do this. Exercise is the "happy drug" Get up...do something. It will make you feel better!

Have a wonderful healthy weekend!! :)

Tomorrow's a new day with a new sunrise!
  • Yeah I was feeling something similar this week. I think it's because I was snowed in. Anytime I need some motivation a good run at the gym gets be back on track.

    Keep on keepin on!

Just survive today. Tomorrow is another day. Just don't sit around and mope. That is one of our worse enemies. Go to the movie, Barnes & Noble...a friend's house...just don't sink into a dark place.
  • Some weeks are better than others....

Albeit, I don't know the circumstances... Shouldn't you feel *good* about breaking up with your boyfriend? I mean, if you weren't happy and that's why you did it...or if he turned into a scumbag, and that's why you broke things off...I know I would feel fantastic! Nothing worse than feeling down in the dumps on your happiness when it's something you can easily change.

You got yourself into a rut with using treats as a pick-me-up. (I used to do it all the time....) Whenever I get that sort of craving, I just ask myself, "Is this really going to make me feel better?" Usually, not. I understand that it can be difficult to find something reasonable for a mood-booster.

I've been lacking motivation to do my runs in the morning, but whenever I do, I pat myself on my back. It does make me feel good to do them, I just hate waking up in the mornings. It's the only time I really have to devote to it, just for the fact that I work in the evenings, so by the time I get home, I'm already exhasuted from being on my feet for hours. When it gets hot again here in AZ, I'll be glad I got into the routine of doing it in the A.M.

Hang in there! What types of exercise do you do? I have found that beach body products (Slim in 6 - what I do, P90X, TurboJam) are phenomenal products. Looking at before and after photos of what amazing results people have accomplished - is what motivates me!

What I do to motivate myself is I first take a look at a pic of me at my heaviest and think about all the heartache and burden that was to my life, mental well-being.

Second - I look at BeachBody.com before and after pics and say "That can (and will) be me!!" If they can do it we ALL can do it!

    Good luck!!
