One of my biggest goals for my weight loss is to be able to really keep up with my two kids (3 and 2 years). I used to drive my kids to the park, and sit on the bench ever opportunity I could get. My son always wanted me to push him on the swing, but after 10 minutes I would just want to sit down. I couldn't wait to go home.

This is my 30th week on MPF, and it has been amazing. I have been eating well, and exercising more often and more regularly than I had in many years.

Today the weather was so nice I decided to take the kids to the park. I pushed both of my 30 lb kids in my heavy a** double stroller (the old fashioned heavy kind, not a nice jogging one) all the way to the park. And I took the long uphill way that takes 30 minutes, not the easy way that takes 10. And once we were there I was up and playing with them the whole time. We ran, we played, we laughed and I never once sat down. I even did step ups on the slide, and put them on the two farthest apart swings and ran sprints between them to take turns pushing them!

It's good to remember that weight loss and good health is so much more than the number on the scale.

MPF is changing my life!

This is sooo incredibly motivating for me.
My daughter (my first) is only 6 months old, and one of my fears is that I won't be able to keep up.
Thanks for posting this, and congratulations!

I had exactly the same issue you did! My 5-year old twins always want to get picked up or wrestled with or chased. You name it. One of my most unforgettable moments was picking up my 5 year old boy and running a quarter mile to the car in the driving rain. I NEVER would have been able to do that before and I always avoided physical play time.

    Contgrats on your awesome milestone!

I know exactly what you are talking about, the only difference is I have four to run after. I hated not being able to play when they wanted and for how long they wanted, and any one with kids knows this is usually a long time. This site was a last ditch effort for motivation and support and I have found both here. This is truly the best site in the world to me. Keep up the hard work and WAY TO GO :)

Calories is not the only thing that gives us energy. For some miracle exercise gives us more energy. Way to go! I've never been one to sit on the bench at the park. I like to engage in what dd is doing and I follow her around the park. Nothing really energetic like you shared but some days. Plus I'm always taking pictures of her.
