So I have been trying to eat close to the amount of calories I have as my daily goal...but quite often the second I finish eating I feel sick...sometimes just the thought of eating is making me feel sick to my stomach...I can feel really really hungry...my stomach can be growling...and then the second I eat I'm like....ehhhh I feel horrible. It;s even worse when I eat after working out...whetehr its 15 minutes after or 90. Could it be psychological? Like my brain telling me-- youre dieting and just worked out you shouldnt be ruining it? haha....idk its kinda strange!! Foods I used to love look repulsive to me. Just smelling them turn my stomach. Anyone else have similar issues?

Maybe you're coming down with something.0 -
I agree--you might want to have a check up and brief your doctor on this problem. Take care.0

Yes I would say its psychological for sure. LOL- sometimes I wish I had your problem but the truth is you may need to pay close attention to this new found affliction. It sounds like you are letting this whole thing consume you (losing weight). Breathe- and back off a bit. You need fuel (food) to workout and take care of yourself. Be mindful of yourself and your good health.......I wish you well.0

It's probably psychological. The key to healthy living is to not have a negative relationship with food. Food isn't what's bad. Eating crappy food and overeating is. Try to push through it when you feel sick. Your body being hungry is a clear sign that it wants you to eat it. Try to break through the mental barrier and realize that making sure you eat enough is as much a part of being successful as not eating enough.0

My guess was pregnancy also. Morning sickness. (which believe me doesn't stick to mornings )0

Could you be pregnant?0

If you rule out pregnancy and the doc says you are fine, it could be that you need more protein, sometimes the body needs that frst in a meal and with every meal. And if you think it could be psychologocal I wouls consult a mental health professional and talk it over with them it can't Hurt!0

Perhaps you could try eating a "clean", somewhat bland diet for a time, until all the crap has worked its way out of your system, then start increasing the variety of your diet. Fresh fruits and vegetables, low-fat proteins, a few complex carbs, and be sure to take in some protein in the hour after exercise, so your body doesn't break down your muscle tissue. You can also feel sick if you are getting dehydrated, so try increasing water. Just some ideas.0

haha sorry i havent replied guys! thanks for all your input! I have been toughing it out and eating despite feeling sick...its just hard to do when I am at clinical in the hospital because the last thing you want to do is feel sick when you have to deal with blood, poop, and vomit!! haha Dont worry- I am NOT preggers...not TTC until at least October...if not later. I need to finish school before we start our family! Matt thought maybe I was going to get a cold...you know how things taste gross or are not appealing when youre sick? But so far I havent gotten sick! It has been getting less...meat has been kinda...ehh... Still lovin salads, beans, eggs.0

OMG I thought the same thing!0 -
Keep an eye on your diary. You may have food intollerances that have come to surface now that you're trying to be healthy. If it persists, take your diary's to your doc & review them with them & see if you need to refine, add or eliminate certain things.
For me, if I don't get enough fiber & protein I'm in bad shape & get a little "sick" feeling, I also have Celiac's & am lactose intollerant, so if I have something contaminated I have issues. Just a thought.0
