Beans! Watch out for sodium in the canned version or buy and soak your own. Those suckers are packed with fiber.

One of my MFP friends just had a bagel containing 18 g of fiber and only 140 cals... I thought that was pretty awesome :)

Without seeing your diary, I would suggest swapping out some low fibre foods with high fibre foods, ie a breakfast cereal with high fibre and low sugar (bran flakes etc), include a lot of vegatables on your plate and reduce the meat to balance the calories, use fruit as a snack.

You will find that with small adjustments your fibre will increase, and your "internals" will thank you for it.
  • Most fruits and veggies are naturally high in fiber, are lower in calories, and fill you up. Pears have 6 grams of fiber, and a cup of raspberries have 8 grams! I aim to eat between 30 and 40 grams per day and when i do that I don't feel hungry at all during the day, even when eating only 1200-1500 calories. Fiber is a dieters best friend!

Besides fruit and veggies (an avocado has 14 grams by the way!), some of the foods i love are: double fiber bread and bagels, Flax seed raisin bran (there are lots of other high fiber cereals too), la tortilla factory tortillas, beans, lentils, and nuts or nut butter. I never eat white rice anymore, only brown rice, couscous, and quinoa.
