Hey all so my topic for today is: it is early Saturday(well here in CA at least), what do you all do to stay away from those BAD food and drink choices that we might encounter on a weekend??

What I do is drink A LOT of water so that I seem full, and I carry healthy snacks with me where ever I go, I am taking my kids to Universal Studios today and I have all kinds of string cheese, wheat thins, granola bars, etc, So then I am not tempted (hopefully) to eat the churros, ice cream and popcorn.

Have a fabulous day and a wonderful weekend!!

Welcome!

I don't really stay away from bad things (as I'm about to order Pizza Hut at work). I just try to input everything in the morning, that way I know how much I can eat.

The worst thing for me on my off weekends are drinking water. I just don't ever seem to get thirsty.

Pizza Hut! I gained a pound just reading that! ;) Just kidding. That's great if you can fit it in. That's what it's all about I suppose. Living life like a real person. Everything in moderation, etc.

I'm about to head to the gym for my strength training and cardio. Gotta train for that 8K I'm doing in April. As for the weekends, I'm unemployed so it's all the same to me. I'm planning on indulging a little tomorrow when we go for Indian food, so that's motivating me to stay on track today.

    Have a good weekend, everyone!
  • It's Sunday morning here in NZ so I have already dealt with most of the weekend temptations. Yesterday I went to the movies with friends. Usually I would sit there pigging out on Popcorn and chocolate but this time I resisted the urge and just got a diet soda, so I still felt like I was having something sweet.

It's all about moderation and I remember when I was going to Weight Watchers meetings that the said if you are good 80% of the time you will still see results. So be really good during the week and a couple of treats on the weekend won't do too much damage. I had M&Ms yesterday so I made myself go for a jog and burn off the equivalent calories in the chocolate. I have such a sweet tooth and find that I need to treat myself otherwise I won't be able to stick to the fitness/eating regime.

Nice job! Although, now I want m&ms. ;)

Wasn't there like 3 pages of people wanting to do this challenge? Where is everyone?

I go out to eat with friends almost every weekend. I try to be good about researching calorie information before I head out and deciding what I'm going to get before a menu of fried food is in front of me. :)

Hahaha...Yeah, I feel if I take EVERYTHING out of my diet, I'm setting myself up to fail. It's a treat, so it's not like I eat pizza all the time, but I work the rest of my calories around it.
