Is anyone having success with the flat belly diet? I have the book and I use some of the recipes from time to time but I was just wondering what kind of luck I would have if I made a point to follow the diet to a "T". If your following it I would like to hear what results your having

I bought the book last june and I couldn't get through drinking the "savvy water" or whatever its called.
Cucumbers are nasty. BUT I do use it for recipes!0 -
Its full of tasty recipes. The whole basis of the diet is to include a "mufa" with every meal, which is a healthy fat, olives, nut's, olive oil, dark chocolate. You have to do a jump start diet, which is basically a detox diet that de-bloats you.
Yes, the sassy water when i did try it got old pretty quick. lol0 -
Here's a link to the website if anyone's interested...

They claim you can lose up to 15 pounds in 32 days but I haven't tried jumping into it just yet. When I first got the book I did for a week or two but lost interest.0 -

i did the two week cleanse diet or w/e & i lost weight and i noticed a slimming in my belly.

I bought the book and read it all. I could never bring myself to even start the jump start/detox, or whatever they call it. I have a really hard time following a strict menu like that. I do use some recipes from the cookbook though.
I have always had a weight problem and even though the only time I have lost any significant amount of weight was when I ate what I wanted - not what some "diet" said I should eat over a certain period of time. What I am trying to do now is to change my eating habits altogether so that I can continue to eat better for the rest of my life.
A quick 15lb loss is great, but once you go back to eating "normal" it will not all stay off. My suggestion is to try modifying the ingredients and portions of the things you are already eating. The things you enjoy eating.
Try substituting olivio for butter or margarine. Use "I Can't Believe its Not Butter" spray whenever possible. I like to eat oatmeal- the instant kind that you add water too. I now buy the 50% less sugar variety. Is there a difference? Yes, but do I still enjoy the oatmeal? Yes!
I LOVE potato chips... Special K has cracker "chips", that really do taste like chips. The texture is a little weird, but they are crunchy and salty and tasty!
There is no real answer that fits everyone! Find what works for you and stick with it. Good luck to you!!

I felt the same way about the book, I lost interest before I lost anything. I also hate the word diet, I actually am not that interested in following the flat belly diet100 % but the recipes are healthy and for the most part easy and inexpensive. I just wonder if it actually works and if there's some thing to the whole MUFAS thing. And I hear ya, i'm not looking for a quick weight loss solution. I'm ok with my little 1/2 pound here and there. lol
I've decided to add some healthy fats to all my meals the next 2 weeks just to see if it makes a difference. So for the next 2 weeks my breakfast and lunch will come from a couple of the recipes but not my supper.0
