god, this is the worst day. i woke up, and you know what the first thing i thought of? pizza. it was 6:30 in the morning, and i would have given my first born for a pizza. i've been fighting the binge urge all day.

here is what i have been battling:
- whole medium pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms
- ultimate burger meal with lots of gravy and 2-3 buster bars
- whole kielbassa ring with a whole bag of chips and a large bottle of pepsi

the foods keep cirling in my brain and god do i want them so bad.

here is how today is going so far:

breakfast:
1 cup life cereal
1 cup skim milk
1 banana

snack:
1 nectarine
4 small fibre cookies

lunch: (currently in the oven)
2 sausages and 1 potato, roasted
1 cob of fresh, sweet corn

i'm trying to make it, but oooooooooh mmmmmmmmmmmmmmy goooooooooooooooooosh. it's so fricken hard. out you damn binge monster, out!!!!

I can relate the binge Monster:laugh:   Maybe go outside or try to find something to take your mind off of FOOD...glorious good...hot sausage & mustard....hahahha

Maybe take a vitamin...your body might be craving something missing in your diet?

    Good Luck:drinker:

Just think how good you will feel at the end of the day if you have resisted! You are doing great so far though! Keep up the good work!

How is the day progressing? I seem to have the same relationship with food - it can control me instead of the other way around. Please try and hang in there, I was impressed with your resolve so far.
Any chance you can go outside for a walk - get some exercise and stay away from food? How about drinking unsweetened ice tea with just a splash of somehting sweet like OJ or cranberry juice? Not exactly pizza., but a distraction. When I need crunchiness, I try a few whole, natural almonds.
  • I'm pretty new to dieting, so I don't have a lot of experience. But sometimes I get "salt" cravings or "sweet" cravings. Did the sausages help? I'm thinking that maybe they might be salty, like the pizza you crave, and give you some satisfaction.

Perhaps the binging and the overeating comes from denying yourself (body and mind) of the food it's used to.

I have been very successful this year shedding 50 pounds. And I have never felt deprived for a single moment. I eat pizza. I eat burgers. I eat ice cream. I eat cookies.... I eat EVERYTHING.
But I mind the portions that my body needs.

Some days are burger days. So I get a burger, but then I exercise to account for it, or I plan for it IN ADVANCE. I nibble that burger and let it last for as long as possible, savoring every minute.

Some people have "cheat days".... I don't know how I feel about that. BUT, I try to live by 2 good meals (fruits, veggies, fiber, etc.) for every one junk meal.
Today I had light yogurt (1/2 cup), 1/2 cup sliced strawberries, 1/2 a banana, and a Fiber One granola bar for breakfast.
For lunch I had light tuna on just 6 crackers, a bottle of water, and a large fresh nectarine.
For a snack, I'm having 100 calorie Oreos.
For dinner, though, I'm probably going to have Mac n Cheese, a small piece of cake, and maybe a bowl of cereal.

I know not everyone agrees with this method, but it works for ME. and anything that works for ME and keeps me losing steadily keeps me HAPPY!!

    Good luck to you!
