does anyone have any good recommendations for headbands that won't move during exercise? i've tried those non-slip things, regular headbands, a bandana, plain fabric...nothing works! i hate my hair in my face when i'm exercising.

Goody's No Slip stuff with a little hairspray sprayed on a) just the hair before you put the headband on and then a little bit more once it's in place.

And if not that, use a bunch of the Goody's clear rubber bands. And know that an awesome workout makes you ugly, so your hair can be busted

I'm sad to hear that about the non slip ones slipping. :( I wear a visor. It holds those strays away

skinny bands got a good review in Self or Shape or one of those mags. They have a website.

What about side combs to hold it back? Something like this?

Or slicking it back pre-workout with a glob of gel?

I use just regular cotton head bands but then use clips on each side by my ears to keep it on. It's the only thing that works for me and it works great:0)

    Clips like these: http://image.made-in-china.com/4f0j00ZCnEyDjKrfUh/Metallic-Hair-Clip.jpg

    Try Sweaty Bands from:

    sweatybands.com

Work for me and I have a funny shaped head, usually bands will slip right off, these are pretty good.

I also like to buy them in all colors so they match the headbands and then you can't even tell you have clips in. I've done it for years.
  • i've been using one from the dollar store for years now! it's a really THICK headband so that's probably why it works so well. it has good grip.

I tried the Goody No-Slip bands but they don't work too well. I found out about Embrace bands which are much cheaper than Sweaty Bands, and they definitely work! http://www.embraceactivewear.com/index.php

headbands will not stay on my head as well!! I usually just bobby pin my stray hairs back....i wish i could wear cute head bands like everyone else though!! lol
  • My problem is the headbands creep up on the back of my head, so I started crossing two bobby pins in the back right above the headband and it seem to stop them from slipping up too far.

I love them! They're a little pricey but nothing else works for me.

reebok yoga hairband. very soft, wide and comfy. however...if you are working out laying down (pilates-esque) it will fall off the back of your head. but i've never had it slip down or back during jogging or high impact classes. it's what i'm wearing in my pic. good luck!

ps~ in my pic, i have it open as wide as it will go to cover my ears while hiking in the cold - in class, i usually fold it over itself, so it's the size of a traditional band. it's actually great for cold weather - love my band!
