Hello Everyone,
So ive noticed that ever since I started working out, I dont eat as much as I used to, and I dont get those intense cravings anymore either.
The day that I skip the gym, I find myself starving to the point where I want to eat everything in site!!!!!! So i try not to skip because of this.
Anyone know whats going on with me??? Arent you supposed to feel more hungry because of the exercise????

I'm sometimes that way, as well. I think it varies from person to person, but I've read interviews with serious athletes--Olympians and the like--who claim they have the same problem. When they're in the midst of serious training, they have to force themselves to eat to get enough calories in because the hard work sometimes makes them not hungry.
In fact, I'm having a day like that today. It's already past 9:00 p.m. and I'm supposed to eat like 700 more calories today. I'll find a way to make it happen.0 -

I definitely think it depends on the workout. If I start a new regimen and it kicks my butt so much I feel it the next day, I KNOW I will feel famished too! However, on days I do yoga or PIlates, I don't feel any change in appetite but I also don't crave as many junk foods - this may be from the mind-body connection you get with these meditative workouts that you "just don't want it."
If you are famished from a difficult workout, eat healthy but as usual, until you are full! Your body worked hard so it needs to replenish itself with nourishing foods to give you that fierce body!0 -

It's not bad. I usually feel the same way after a bout of hard exercise. I figure my body is too busy going "WTF?" to tell me I ought to put those calories back.
I think it's best if you stay close to your recommended daily calorie intake, but if you can't eat back your exercise calories, no worries. As long as you're eating an adequate number of calories a day (1,200 is the number most often bandied about here), you're good to go.0 -
Hi,
I am no doctor or anything, but psychologically as you start to lose weight, it seems to help with your personal view of yourself and you start to feel more positive. Since you feel more positive, you are happier and you eat less. That's the way it is for me any way. I started my healthy eating habit aka diet, last week on Monday. My goal is to look really cute and sexy in August when me and my husband go on out cruise. Good Luck to you!:flowerforyou:0
