Okay, I am needing some support and motivation here. I was doing good and excited when I received some bad news. As usual, I turned on myself by baking, cooking and emotional eating. I was told that I could not have surgery on my knee until I saw a cardiologist. I have let fear immobilize me. After several days of struggling I came to peace with myself. I am now ready to start back but know that I will need some support in this process. Thanks everyone!

We all stumble from time to time, the importnat thing is that you've gotten back on the horse after your inital shock. More good days than bad ones equals success in the end and remember it's a marathon, not a sprint.

    Sending hugs.

Thank you. I hadn't thought of it as a marathon and not a sprint. I shall keep chanting that one to myself!

I am not understanding what the 'bad news' is here. Were you told they suspected a heart condition? Seeing a cardiologist to be cleared for surgery is pretty standard procedure and nothing you should be afraid over.
