I bought a weight watchers one that measures weight (obviously), body fat, body fat %, water percentage, and bone mass density. I have only had it one day, so I don't wanna give a review just yet, but so far so good. I paid $60 for it at bed bath and beyond. They have a bunch of ones there that do the same.

I had a digital Taylor...cheap and broke the other day. It said I weigh 35lbs...yea right! I've been using my Wii Fit Board. I actually prefer this because it keeps track of my weight and BMI for me.

It is very accurate I stepped on a few times, because you never know with digital read outs and all times I was within .2 lbs of each other.
  • Just bought a Healthometer digital from Wal-Mart last night for $15. Works fine so far.

bump......I need a new one too.
  • I just purchase this scale for a biggest loser contest at work. I think it is one of the best I have bought... I have gotten lots of positive comments about it. It has three settings for personalizing it. It can be bought at Wal-mart.

  • I just bought this one a little over a month ago:

So far, I really like it. I had a cheap Taylor digital scale before that, and it was really inconsistent. I'd get one weight, then step off and step back on, and get a different weight - usually 2-3 pounds different, sometimes more! With the Beurer, I occasionally get different weights, but its always very close - a couple of tenths of a pound difference at most.

I love my scale. It can hold and track information for multiple people in the household, it weighs in .2 fractions of a pound, shows your BMI and even what your approximate maintenance calories would be to maintain the weight you currently are based on your gender and height (that you enter for your profile in advance.

All of the buttons can easily be pressed with your toes so you don't have to bend over to use it at all. And I can get on and off it multiple times in one weigh-in and it shows the same weight everytime (no matter how much I may be wanting it to go down. lol) And it was only $40 minus 20% off if you get it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond because they always have their coupons. :)

There is a certain type of scale that seems to appear under different brand names.

    This is what I got:

    http://www.amazon.com/EatSmart-Precision-Digital-Bathroom-Technology/dp/B001KXZ808/ref=sr_1_1?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1296539745&sr=1-1

The brand is "Eat Right", but I have seen what looks like the identical scale with a "taylor" brand and "weight watchers" as well. (I think the WW model is being sold at Costco these days).

I went back and forth on features, but ultimately decided I wanted to start with accuracy. The Eat Right uses strain-gauge technology which everything I read indicated was the most accurate. It is a true digital scale, not an analog with a digital display.

The cost is under $30. It does nothing else other than weigh, but it is accurate, absolutely consistent, and easy to read. I decided I didn't need the memory features or custom profiles and I know that there are a lot of accuracy issues with the body fat scales.

So it's basic, but it is also excellent and I highly recommend it. (I use their kitchen digital scale as well--it's great too).
  • I hate my prehistoric scale!
Really need to purchase a new one - BAD!
I literally have to weigh myself like 3-4 times just to get a somewhat accurate reading.
    Yeh...I know!
