My husband is out at least 20 days/month and I stay home with our 3 kiddos, ages 6, 5, and 2. While I am grateful for a steady income and the opportunity to stay home with my kids, there are obviously challenges present as well. Sometimes days go by and the only adult contact I have occurs at the gym.

I am very close to attaining my weight goals; but exercising 6 days a week can seem pointless at times. Some days I swear it's the only way I keep my sanity; and other days I just want to sit down with a plate of cookies, because seriously, who is going to know or care if I skip my workout?! I do all my running at night after the kids go to bed, and some nights it takes every bit of my willpower to step on the treadmill at 9:30 or later.

Are there any other moms out there who are in the same boat? I did recently find an "accountability partner", and she and I text each other almost daily with updates on our workouts. I has helped tremendously to know there is someone who will KNOW if I bail! lol. But I would love to connect with other moms on here, just to enlarge my support group. I'm training for several races right now, as well as overall toning and conditioning. Would love to connect with you!

Ooooh, my husband is an OTR truck driver. I actually just went to get him as he is "passing through" and is here for the night. He is usually out for 3-4 weeks, home for 3-4 days. It's rough at times, but works for us. No children yet! Hopefully after I lose this weight!

Hi there. My husband is gone all week in his truck. I have 3 kids also. 12, 8, and 7. I homeschool mine so I don't get a chance at all to get to the gym and when I get stressed, (which is alot), all I want to do is eat. So Im with you.

My husband is gone right now for basic training for the military. I have four daughters ages 11, 10, 8, 5 (the youngest one is my step-daughter but she lives with me). I go to school full time and take care of my girls. I also have difficulty finding time or energy to keep up with my workouts. Maybe we can motivate and encourage eachother? :)
