i spend all day at home, so ofcourse i am VERY tempted to snack, but i have finally figured out how to stop it! i keep a drink bottled filled with water with me through out the entire day + night and just sip on it constantly, that way i'm getting all the water i need and i never feel the need to eat out of bored because my mouth and hands are busy drinking instead of eating. i also find that i'm full all day long, its definately helping me keep my calorie goal. i still occasional snack but no where near as much as i use to, specially since you can see my fridge from my lounge room! haha

I found the easiest way for me too way increase my water intake..
I also found that not having any snacks in the house helped.. or only healthy snacks0 -
I often keep a bag of baby carrots sitting next to me on the couch.0

i would get rid of all snacks but my boyfriend is skinny and wants to put on weight, so there's always snacks in the house so i really have to be in control,0

i think it's fine to snack in moderation. i've made it a habit these days to portion out my snacks, then put the container away. it has helped a lot in not snacking mindlessly.0

I would seriously go through a box of low fat snacks without guilt because its "low fat" and I wasn't counting the calories. So now to prevent over snacking, i log everything asap. then if I start to crave more I think, "oh i want another serving, but then I'll only have this many calories left for the whole day, not worth it."0

Something that's really helped me as an in between meals snack, is a protein shake, I mix the powder in some milk and drink that. It's sweet and tasty so gets rid of any cravings. After about 10 mins or so I'm full and ok till it's time for the next meal.

Snacking is my biggest downfall. I have to have some kind of snack between meals, but if I don't pay attention to what I'm eating and how much I'm eating, I'll easily eat up all my calories just in snacks. Bleh. The water thing really helps me too, and brushing my teeth. I was surprised to find out that when I exercise, I don't want to snack as much, which is funny because one of my motivators to exercise is to earn myself a healthy evening snack. :laugh:0
