HI everyone! We had another great week this week! I"m really sorry for not getitng the competition off to a better start but it;s been a not too good week for our family. My great grandmother is in the hospital and has been all week so it's been a lot of waiting and praying.

The prize this week is a Janis Saffell Dynamic Stretch DVD!!!! I have several people I still need their weigh-ins. If I don't hear from you before tomorrow morning, I will assume you no long wish to participate.

Challenge for this week: Try a new kind of exercise! Let us all know what you did, what you thought of it, and how many calories you burned. Would you recommend it to us?

    I got EA Sports Active: More Workouts for Christmas and haven't even opened it yet :blushing: I will try that tonight and let you know how it goes.

    I actually got into a gym this week.........did the treadmill for 30 mins and burned 327 cal.......not a new exercise but I haven't been in the gym in years and I started this journey with Zumba and home DVD workouts
  • I tried Zumba for the first time 3 weeks ago and I LOVE it! It's just so much fun and you burn so many calories. I do it twice a week for an hour long class. Doesn't even feel like a workout because I enjoy it so much!

    I can't say it was new but I got on the elliptical yesterday and stayed on it for a hard 30 min burn of 501 calories. I never pushed myself on one before, I was convinced it didn't burn enough. Turn the resistance up and it does, hee hee.

    What is the formula for figuring out the percentage? I have never been good with math! I would like to know this for my own personal use.

    It shows on your results that I didn't lose weight but I messaged you on Monday to say I lost 3lbs - 188.8lbs to 185.8lbs!!

    I'm down 2.5 pounds since last Monday. I was 227.3, now I'm 224.8. :smile:
