Baby Belly - Success Stories Pls

I am curious as to whether or not anyone has had success losing the baby belly fat?

I unfortunately have some baby belly fat (loose skin/stretch marks) that has slowly been disappearing but I'm curious how much success women have had with actually losing it? I realize I won't have much success with my stretch marks ( 2 babies weighing in over 9lbs so I'm sure you get the picture) but I at least want to lose the fat in that area.

I'm on day 23 of Power 90 and will probably get into P90X when I am done this round. I also do Ab Ripper 100 daily as opposed to every other day.

My "belly" area is measuring 36" and my waist is at 30" so you can guess how much I need to lose.

Hmm... I have been wondering the same thing! I have a little fat pouch near my belly button since having my daughter (two years ago!) when I stand up it's not so obvious but when I sit it looks awful! I would like to know this also b/c I've been doing Slim in 6, I've lost my 'love handles' but the pouch in front isn't going away as fast as I'd like.... which is like... NOW. Good luck!!

I have lost a bit and I know that what I eat is going to make a difference.....

I want the baby pouch gone...I'm not a kangaroo LOL
  • One of my friends here on MFP her screen name is tattoodfreek, has been able to loose the baby belly fat and get a six pack by doing p90x.

I believe the loose skin is still going to be there just because our bellies get stretched out during pregnancy that probably wont go away unless you have surgery like a tummy tuck. But tattoodfreek is proof that you can tone that area if you put your mind to it.

How long have you had your baby? I breastfeed my kid for 8 month, and burned tons during those days. Eat right, workout, and do strength training to help tighten those area. I've seen post for mom with saggy belly (before/after pictures), and now it's all tight and tone muscles.

I took a peak and she does have some awesome Abs. I will eventually get to P90X...just working up to it. Guess the hubby better get another job to pay for that tummy tuck I'm going to be asking for
  • I need a miracle in my tummy area as well. Right now I am more interested in just losing some of the belly fat not so much 6 pack style, I didn't even have that before kids! I have been told genetics do not help this pouch...I'm just sick of having to tuck it into my pants and am bound and determind to make it better...not perfect, but better.

I had three kids within four years and my tummy is stretched and gross!!!! I don't care if I ever get a six pack again. I just want a flat stomach. Is that too much to ask for????? :)

I am in the same boat as you. I had my son almost 3 years ago and I am starting to eat better and work out and my "baby belly" is the one thing I want gone ASAP!
  • I have 4 kids including a set of twins and unfortunately the only way it came off was with my plastic surgeon!!

I lost my weight easy after both my boys, they are only 18 months apart(and i had gained about 70lbs each time). It is hard this time. My little daughter is 9 months old and i am struggling to get back in shape even though i didn't gain nearly as much as with the boys.

I know how you feel I have an 8 month old & I started working out in September 2010 and have lost all my baby fat in 3 1/2 months. I'm still working to help me tone a bit more. Hope you see results soon.:)
