I was im'g with my gf today and said I wanted to weigh 110 or 115. She said "omg you'd look HORRIBLE at 115! You should stick to 150, you'd look great at that weight!"

Further into the convo, she said she weighed 140 (!!) and we're about the same height but not the same framewise. She also said that when she weighed 120 she looked "sickly". I reminded her she did look sickly because she had lost all that weight due to a severe ongoing illness she had (!!). I said, it's different when people lose weight by cal counting and exercise the normal way, they don't look so weird because it's a gradual and healthy way to lose weight.

Hopefully she hasn't given me evil energy when I *do* get to 150 (and I WILL get there). I told her, I've been 150 and I look fat still.

My thoughts are that 1 - she would be a bit jealous if I were thinner than she currently is. I think it's a girl thing. I think we sabotage our friends, even our *good friends*. Not every girl but a certain type. Still care very much about her, I don't even think she realizes what she said to me....and I won't talk to her about it, but I thought it was STRANGE....

 I'm not sure if this is a question or if you wanted to get it off your chest. So my reply is, women, you can't live with them, and you can't survive without them. Who else will cook for you?

    1. I kind of skimmed the first paragraph, so I read the whole thing as it was you Grandma you were referring to. Definitely an even weirder friend that way. ;)

    2. DEFINITELY. No matter how much you love somebody, your own insecurites and jealousies often show through, and so much of the time we have no idea how what we say effects others. Since you thought this was odd of her to say, it doesn't at all sound like she's being purposefully negative toward your goals, but if it does come to that point, I would certainl recommend mentioning to her that her opinions and thoughts are important to you and you would really appreciate her support in this.

Us girls... we're just silly sometimes.
