Body temperature drops

I have been working with a trainer/body builder that has had me taking my temperature every morning. He told me because I am restricting calories that if my temp drops 5 or 6 points (ex. from 97.9 to 97.2) that my body needs more calories and resistance exercise. I hit a plateau after 6 lbs. like I ALWAYS do...Well my temp had gone from 97.7 to 96.7 and as soon as I increased my calories I started to lose again. I had been freezing for about a week and I am warming up again. I hope this helps others and continues to work. Best of luck to everyone.

    That's so fascinating. Basal body temp is an indicator of a LOT. Many women know that your basal temp is an extremely accurate way to tell if you're currently ovulating, and persistently low basal temp can be an indicator of hypothyroidism. Good to know!
