The subject about says it all...
We have been completely snowed/iced in for the past 2 1/2 days. Kids home from school. Hubby home from work. Housebound and stir crazy. And, I blew it. I have eaten WAY over my calories today (honestly probably double my calories). Sigh... I have done so good for the last several months. Oh, and did I mention we are still housebound??? Kids will be home yet again tomorrow....
Blah....

Don't beat yourself up. Obviously you know what to do right and you will get back there. You didn't mention...........was there extra physical activites getting up and down for the kids and your husband? Did you happen to shovel snow, play in the snow, etc etc etc............I'm sure in the end it wasn't as negative as you think. And is it was..............so what! Enjoy the family and work harder tomorrow.0

I wouldn't about it. It's only one day. Maybe you did yourself a favor and shocked your metabolism and tomorrow it will be faster working off what you ate today. Or you could do some exercise and burn some of them off if it makes you feel better!0

I am sorry to hear that, but you know what?Tomorrow is a new day.I know how you feel!Same here with the nasty snow:(Can not wait for spring to come!Hang in there!0

Hey don't beat yourself up over one day, put it behind you and get back on track tomorrow!0
-
Exactly^^^^ tomorrow is another day and you may not be able to stay on track for a few days. If i had to live out of my pantry for a few days the first may be ok but face it we all stock the emergency/ in a hurry less than healthy food. Find a way to do some group play/ exercise. I'm the babysitter that firmly believes in jumping jack competitions0

You can do that every now and then. It happens to everyone. Tomorrow is a new day. Make something healthy to snack on. One day is not going to ruin all of your had work. As long as you don't do it everyday!
Good luck!0 -
I'm always thrown off when the schedule changes too.
We've been iced/snowed in too!
We might venture out tomorrow.
Just get back on track tomorrow!0 -
It'll be ok, just remember that you can't get down on yourself and a couple of days wont ruin it!!0

I'm right there with you. I went WAY over today. I had to work from home (snow here too) and spent the entire day in the breakfast nook, which, in retrospect, was not a good place to be all day, that close to the constant reminder of food. Something about being housebound I think, made me think about eating way more than normal.
Sometime around mid-afternoon, I decided to get some encouragement from MFP and did a search for 'bad day'. So helpful! The comments taught me that it's just one day and does not erase all of the good I've done up to this point. I didn't gain all the weight in one day and I didn't lose it all in one day. If I gain anything, it's most likely water from the added sodium.
One bad day, after months of being eating healthy, will NOT make me quit! Today is in the past and I can't change it. Tomorrow will be a better day.0 -
Awww... thank you to all of you. I just am disappointed in myself... Not that I slipped up (I know that happens to everyone) but because this was a major slip up!
Tomorrow definitely is a new day!
Thanks again and moving forward!!!0
