Peanuts and weight loss

Good morning All,
This is the second time in the course of 3 weeks that I've "binged" out on peanuts. And this is the second time after stepping on the scale the morning after that I have lost at least a 1.5-2 bls? Do you think it's my body responding to the protein and fat? P.S I usually do this "binging" when I do body circuits and interval training at night.

Phantom weight loss. Your peanut binge did not make you 7000 calories short for the day. and if you were truly that short over the course of 24 hours, you'd be in the ER or ICU. Change in water and contents of your gut.0

Well peanuts make you go....you go more ofter less of it in the body to weigh you do ;-)0

Also, a day of eating high cal can jump start your metabolism. It is possible that is what is happening.0

you are binging after circuits because you are feling more hungry from the workout---binging will get you nowhere quickly. It will catch up with you. If you like to eat peanuts, you have to be in control; otherwise, do not buy them. Usually if you worked out hard, you are better off eating protein, but how about a protein shake or some lean turkey, not something we ar elikely to binge on???0

I believe for so many years we have all been taught don't eat fat - But IMO Fat isn't the bad thing. My guess is it's a combo of peanuts cleansing your system, the fat and calorie boost after a work out and the additional protein. I'd be careful not to do it too often.
I was just reading an interesting article on food cravings and what they really mean. I've been craving peanut butter and went looking for an answer, the need for protein and fat was what I read was my issue.0 -
what kind of peanuts are you eating??? Salted?? Honey Roasted??0
