Why doesnt MFP recognize strength training as a calorie burning exercise? According to my heart rate monitor I am still burning over 400 calories per 1 hour strength training round. I am new to this site so maybe someone can clarify for me. Appreciate any feedback... Thank You!

I have the same question as mekilfoyle2. Any idea's out there why strength training gets no credit on this site? Thanks0

If you know how many calories you burned then you can choose 'strength training' under the cardio category.0

Thanks for the info! Adding it under the cardio category works!0

Thanks Asdak, I think what I'm looking for is motivation to continue the strenght training part of my routine. The program I'm on now calls for strenght training 3x a week and I wanted a way to log into MFP that I had done something for the day. Your blog explaination helped me see that.0
