So without going into details i'm having a bad week feeling down & depressef. Normally i would reach for unhealthy food & a bottle of wine.
Does anyone have any helpful tips to get me past this desire to binge, i don't want to spoil all my hard work and end up feeling worse

I usually just think of how much worse that unhealthy food is going to make me feel. I get bloated lazy and feel disgusting. Not what i want ontop of a bad week.
Hope you get to feeling better over the weekend0 -
I just wrote about this on my comments...I had to remove those temptations and think of my end goal. Put a motivating pic on the fridge or in your wallet. Also, think a lot about where you've come from and where you want to go. Pre-plan some of your next few meals, while you're not hungry so you don't impulsively eat crap. Good Luck.0

Th besy advice I can igve you is to not give up. You can either go from here and gain, or you can go from here and lose...the choice is yours. Leave the past in the past and most important ...Don't sweat it, sweat it off!0

Decided to have a small glass of wine & a little treat after an extra workout. Hoping the endorphins from exercise will lighten my mood0

I sometimes go for a walk or workout video to get me back in tack. I have had a stressful week as well an can relate. I have went over calories 1 day this week, but i got rite back on track and you can 2. Just get moving and it will get your mind clear and back on track
Keep up the GOOD work you can do it!!!!!0 -
Stay active. No matter what it is, do something. Go out with some friends to talk to, exercise, go to a quiet place and scream your head off, chase a chicken...anything to help keep your mind focusing on something else. Consider it a break from whatever's stressing you out. The more you dwell on it, the worse you will feel as you will be reliving that moment over and over in your mind, which will lead to decisions you may regret later.
Focus on nothing other than doing something productive. Learn a new healthy recipe or ways to be creative with your healthy food so you can reach for those to munch on, without the feeling of spoiling your hard work.
That's the general advice I would give to anyone in your situation. Stay positive and remember to be the best you that you can be.0 -
I'm not too great at avoiding binge eating but I'm better at it when I distract myself from it. I make plans, to do lists, tidy up, think about what I'll wear when I've got to my goal, pick up a good book/magazine/film. Although if you just can't stop thinking about food and this happens to me a lot when I feel down, I give in just a little with the right kind of food. So maybe sugar free jelly or fat free ice cream or frozen yoghurt and try not to go over my calorie limit too badly.
Logging in here helps tooHope this helps

FIND SOMETHING TO DO!!! Like clean out a closet or dresser drawers and think about how much smaller your new clothes will be. Scrub something. Really put some effort into it! Put on some music, turn it up loud and dance! Even if you can't dance, who cares? Scream in a closet. Get your frustrations out and you'll feel a lot better without food. Like Naomi91 said --you'll feel bloated and awful afterward.0

I try to think back about when I've binged in the past and remember that when I ate way too much of a "comfort food," that I didn't feel any better afterward. As far as what to do for it...the best I can offer is to distract yourself. Sometimes I curl up on the couch under a blanket and just veg out for a while...watch a movie that you love and have seen a million times. Yoga sometimes helps too, but when I'm way down in a hole, sometimes the couch just can't be beat.0

I like to drink a cup of hot tea as a starter, before I allow myself a snack. Most times, I don't want the snack after or its a whole lot easier to grab the healthy stuff. Get a pretty tea cup and make it an event. Green tea or even black tea can take the edge off.0
