Hungry Girl gooey cinnamon rolls
These are straight out of her cookbook- they really satisfied my insane craving for some carbs and sugar! And for only 126 calories per iced roll:
Dough:
1 package Pillsbury reduced fat crescent roll dough
16 sprays I can't believe it's not butter! spray
Filling:
1/4 cup brown sugar (not packed)
1/4 cup Splenda
1/2 tb light whipped butter
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
Icing:
1/4 cup cool whip free
1 tb fat-free cream cheese
1 tb Splenda
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Combine all filling ingredients in a medium bowl - stir well and set aside.
Combine all icing ingredients and place in fridge to chill.
Knead dough in a ball, sprinkle lightly with flour. Roll out with rolling pin, into a thin sheet. Spray the surface with butter.
Spread filling evenly over dough, leaving 1/2 inch border around the edge.
Roll up tightly, forming a log. Pinch along the seam to seal. Using a sharp knife, cut log into 8 pieces, without squishing the dough.
Spray a baking pan with nonstick spray; place swirl side up onto pan. Press the rolls flatter with your hand.
Cover pan with aluminum foil - bake for 8 mins.
Remove the foil, return pan to oven for 5 mins or until rolls have risen and are slightly browned. Evenly distribute icing over rolls.
Makes 8 servings, 126 cals, 5g fat, 308 mg sodium, 18.5g carbs, 6.5 g sugar, 3 g protein.
Eat for breakfast, dessert , or snack - Enjoy!

I have to ask...how big are they?0 -
They come out to be about 2 1/2 inches wide, about 1 1/2 inches thick. Comparable to the Pillsbury cinnamon rolls in a can0
