How much fat

Hi...I'm on 1200 calories a day and unable to exercise due to major medical problems. Can anyone advise me how much fat I should be aiming for?

    MFP should have a recommendation based on a % of total calories I believe it is 25% which would be 33 or 34 grams per day.

    A balanced diet will consist of 15% to 30% fat so at 1200 cals between 20 and 40grams. Any less and you can have some issues. Fat is important for healthy skin, hair, it lubricates the digestive tract, just to name a few. Just make sure they come from good sources such as lean meant, nuts, seeds, olive oil, avocado etc.

    Personally, I only do about 5 - 10% which is only around 20 grams.

    edit: I guess I should mention I take a 1000 mg fish oil supplement 4x a day. Fats are a necessity and support many vital bodily functions. However, you do not require very much of it and most people consume more dietary fat than is actually needed.
