Hard week

I've had a hard time this week. I stopped dating a guy a really like. The weather was crummy and I got a leak in the kitchen from the ice melting on the roof.....no money to pay for repairs of course. Then I had a really horrible day at work today where I felt completely worthless and devalued.
I'm honestly shocked that my first response was to exercise. Tonight was the first night my thoughts even went to food as a possible solution to escape for awhile. I didn't choose to over-eat though.
that's funny...I came in here to vent and complain and instead found a NSV.... interesting.

  • Take it day by day.....I know that is such a typical thing for people to say. But you have to be proud of yourself for going to exercise and not overeating during all the chaos/downtime in your life. I hope it gets better dear. One day at a time...

Kudos to you...You had a bad week and instead of hurting yourself with food, you turned to exercise!! What a way to go!!

Treat yourself to something this weekend. A manicure maybe? I live in NY and this week has been a tough one with the ice storm. I treated myself today to a lunch at Applebee's - chicken ceasar salad (lowest calorie item on the menu) and 2 bloody mary's. Then off to see The Fighter at the movies. Wasn't the best day I have had since starting to diet 3 weeks ago but it was so good to get out and do something.

Feel free to add me as a friend......

Thanks for all of your kind words. It will get better and at least I don't have to add "regret for over eating" to my bad week. :)
  • That is a great NSV. I am not quite to that point. Hopefully in time I can turn my emotions over to exercise instead of food. WTG

    Lori,
Try the book "Am I Hungry" by Dr. Michelle May. It is also sold under the name "Eat what you love, love what you eat." it is really helping me change my thoughts and habits regarding food and eating.
