The camera don't lie

SO I took my first before pictures a couple days ago and really had a chance to examine my upper body and I am just appauled. I think I look different in the mirror and then it dawned on me that I have instinctively trained my body to suck my gut in no matter where I go or what I do. In order to get real with myself, I just relaxed every muscle and snapped the picture and after viewing them I threw up in my mouth. If I stay on this track, my future is bleek....anyone have an opinion?

Just keep going! You know something I've realized? Part of good posture IS sucking in your gut subconsciously. It's keeping your core muscles engaged, at least a little bit, to keep your body straight. Now, sucking it in so hard that you can't breathe is not part of that, but one of the goals for getting fit is learning to subconsciously maintain good posture.
Your future isn't bleak! You just have work to do. So do most people! You can do this! My stomach has always been a problem area, and there are times that I think it's never going to be flat. But last night I had a dream that I woke up and my stomach was smooth and flat, with defined abs, and I know I can get there if I keep trying. So can you! We all can! Don't give up!0 -
You know what you have to do, I just read your quote on your signature. Start moving, maybe go for a walk either outside or on the treadmill. Check out some cookbooks or online recipes on how to prepare a healthier dinner. Don't pressure yourself to make all the changes immediately but start making small changes every week. Join a gym or commit to actually going 3 times this week if you're already a member. Ask the gym staff for ideas on workouts if you need a jumpstart. Doing nothing is the only way you can fail! Good Luck and remember it's a life changing journey, not a sprint to a finish line.0

Only you have the power to change YOU. Don't go on some weird diet, but make changes in your thought processes, find an eating plan that you can do for the rest of your life. If you do something temporary, then you will gain it back later. Take charge of your life, take care of your body, Live, Laugh Love! Seriously! You need to enjoy who you are, and what you do.
You can do it.
Use this site, because there are a lot of people on here to encourage you, and talk you through it, people who are going through it, too!0
