Nothing! I eat them plain and enjoy every morsel of them.

I have Cary's sugar free maple sugar that I use now w/ a lil bit of butter. It's super yummy and so so so low in calories!
  • I put a little butter spray, cinnamon and nutmeg on mines, but a tsp of sugar or brown sugar wouldn't be too bad. Just don't pour it on. I'm having one for dinner tomorrow. Sounds so yummy!!!

if you put a little olive oil on them you can roast them in the oven. They're lovely.

I like gorganzola cheese sprinkles on mine, however the cheese is fattening so just a little bit.

I use butter and some fresh ground pepper. I never have been a fan of putting sugar on them.

Baked beans or cottage cheese
  • Cut them into chunks, and steam them on the stove, then mash them with a bit of pepper.

i love them topped with chili! well, that's what i'd usually do when i went to Sweet Tomatoes to eat. :) but if you're pressed for time, i'd suggest cracked pepper, red chili flakes, sea salt, scallions, and a bit of parmesan reggiano. :) a great combo of sweet and savory!
  • I am surprised that I am the first to suggest this- bake till done, cut in half length wise, and sprinkle with a healthy amount of Cajun Seasoning!!! Absolutley delicious!!!

Oh wow I really want a sweet potato right now..!
    :)
  • If you're inclined to liking the sweet stuff on your sweet potatoe or yam.....try marshmellow cream.....just don't go overboard.

The same here! There are yummy by themselves so why add anything, specially if you are serving them as a side dish for fish or chicken. But that is my opinion anyway.

By the way, my husband and I are splitting one for dinner tonight as a side dish with turkey meatloaf. Enough, peeps I am getting hungry already!!
