Taking a new approach to being healthy

I am not one to eat healthy. I don't like the taste or texture of certain foods which makes it hard for me to eat healthy. I am hoping I can use the food journaling to help me realize how bad I'm eating and how it's affecting my lifestyle. I graduate in one year from nursing school and I want to start a family. I need to be healthy so I can have a better chance at starting a family.
I've been lying to myself and others around me, I've put on nearly 15 pounds in 2 months and it's to the point I can't fit my clothes. I'm trying to lose at least 10 pounds in the next month so I can feel better about myself while on Spring Break. My overall goal is 50 pounds in the next year.
Does anyone have tips to trick myself into get myself eating healthier?
Luckily, I love chicken, but I just can't stomach vegtables.

If you cook anything with ground meat of any kind, chop up a carrot, celery, and/or baby spinach and mix it with the meat. Works for meatloaf, hamburgers, meatballs, etc. The veggies hide right in there.
You could also check out the book "Deceptively Delicious." I haven't tried the recipes in it myself, but I know quite a few people who LOVE the book. She has tricks for hiding veggies in almost everything.0 -
That's a good idea. I think cooking the vegtables hides the texture & flavor a little more. Plus I could season the meat and it wouldn't be hardly noticeable. Thanks for the tip0
