Ok I was sitting here reading my prevention magazine I just got in the mail and ladies it said that pms cravings are related to the boost in metabolism before your period.

Word for word

If there is a silver lining to PMS, its taht our resting metablic rate may increase during the part of the menstrual cycle known as the luteal phase (the day after ovulation to the first day of your period). The metabolic boost we get from being "hormonal" can equal as much as 300 calories a day- which is why our appetite increased during this phase.

I have never ever had a reason before to want to feel that way... now I do LOL.

    Hi Connieq288,

Metabolic boost, huh? Does that mean we have an excuse now to have a few more calories around that time? I knew I loved prevention magazine for some reason.

It appears we both want to lose about the same amount of weight. I wish you well in your journey.
