If you truly change your overall health and lifestyle, you won't even think about slacking today. Just saying!!0

they do for me today because I don't consider the superbowl an occasion or treat worthy lol0

Good luck burning all of that off.0

I know I am just going to gravitate to the fruits and veggies--made sure that is what I was bringing so I would have some. I also thought the kiddos would want some sweets so I made some weight watcher cupcakes--that way if I feel the need to stray I will go for those. Just need to watch the alcohol intake. I just started this all this week so hopefully I will be successful tonight!! Good Luck all!! Oh and GO PACK!!!0

A splurge or cheat day every once is a while isn't a crime...don't let anyone else try to make you feel back for doing it. You can't live your entire life without doing this now and then and anyone that says you can is in denial!0 -

REALITY CHECK PLEASE!0 -
Nope they dont count!0

"LIGHTEN" UP FOLKS!! MODERATION is the KEY to it all! We may feel the urge or need to splurge sometimes and it is no crime. We just have to remember the BIG picture and get right back on track. If we can hit the restart button in the morning without a problem then where is the harm?? We have to live a little. I would follow the advise of the others in regards to limiting the unhealthier foods and filling up instead on healthy choices and water or crystal light. Enjoy and for my husband I say go STEELERS!! I am more of a NCAA girl my self. Just Saying "ROLL TIDE"!!!0

Good answer, Kao!
The voice of reason. "applauds"
My thoughts exactly!
I plan on enjoying myself today as well. Not going overboard...just a little detour
I had my workout yesterday...jog this morning...and tomorrow it will be back to normal....
GO STEELERS!

Yes they count. However, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy yourself, but don't complain about your weight in the morning if you decide to take the night off.
I'm all for moderation if that's what works for you, but I can't stand it when people cheat and then complain that they aren't losing weight.

A cheat day once in a while is by no means bad. Eating something your body isn't used to having is actually good for your metabolism.0

Not quite. Eating closer to your BMR is better for your metabolism. Since most people on this website eat <1500 calories a day for extended periods of time, having a cheat meal will spike their metabolism since it has slowed from such a large caloric deficit over weeks and months.0 -
Enjoy the day and get back at it tomorrow!! Go Steelers0

Mine count for today, but I'm going to stay near the veggies (if there are any tonight, ha!) and have me lots of water. I'll probably eat a slice of pizza since they are ordering hawaiian (boyfriends family knows I like it)
It keeps us sane to do it every once in a while, as long as you can get back on track the next day, you're good.
oh and, GO STEELERS!0 -
Mine aren't counting As a matter of fact, I'm not even logging today. It's going to be too hard to keep track. BUT, I am making everything myself. So, It's not as bad. I made turkey chili (from the biggest loser cookbook), skinny taco dip (skinnytaste.com), those little smokies cooked in a few tablespoons of sugar free grape jelly and cocktail sauce (probably the least healthy thing I made!), a huge veggie tray with fat free dip, and hebrew national fat free hot dogs on whole wheat buns. So, even though it still feels like a cheat day, I'm still not eating as bad as most of the nation right now  :blushing:0

why do you want to eat all those calories? try not to sweat them but go easy on yourself with the junk, you'll feel like crap after. remember your serving sizes too, ie. instead of 6 wings eat 3!
and try to eat as many veggies as you can.0 -
Hahaha
If they didn't then I'd watch the game0 -
wow! You guys are way too serious, I was making a joke. And I agree with the poster that said, everything in moderation. Its ok to treat yourself guys, I have made one day a week to allow myself to have something I normally wouldnt have. Do I have to maybe work out abit more after that? sure, but thats ok. You cant spend your whole life denying yourself certain things. Thats usually how ppl gain all their weight back, is because they go crazy after they fall off the wagon.
JMO.......
p.s. lighten up guys, lifes way too short0 -
I didn't count mine, but I did tend to eat more off the veggie tray than anything else. And I typically do one cheat day a week, usually on the weekend.0

I counted mine -- but I didn't count sodium! I had planned it like a day that I'd eat if I weren't losing weight. I figure on maintainence, I'd have an extra 500 calories per day, so that's how I ate! I think I missed a couple of things, so my diary doesn't look as bad (but the food is -- breaded chicken, pizza, chocolate!) but I stayed away from alcohol, so I'm feeling ok about it.
I couldn't imagine NEVER treating myself. I woke up extra early today to work out, walked to work and will walk home (5 miles total) so I'm back on track!0
