Hi today is my first day and I am ready to do this. I have 3 lovely daughters (2 are already overweight) and a wonderful husband and I want to do this for myself and for them... We go to Disney often and I want to be able this summer to walk around and not be out of breath and have my feet kill me. I really think my weight is a big cause. I am at my heaviest and am in disbelief as to where all this weight came from. I know its from pizza, ice cream, Fridays, Applebees, etc. We eat out a lot - so that is challenge one, I am not a big fan of fruit or veggies - challenge two, and have hypoglycemia so even though I try to snack in between meals, when my sugar nosedives I tend to eat everything in sight. Any help or tips for me will be GREATY appreciated!

Congrats on making the decesion to have a much better and healthy life. Remember body transformation is 90 percent diet and 10 percent exercise. Stay focused and don't beat yourself up if you fall from the wagon, just pick yourself up and get right back on. As far as the hypoglycemia I would ask your doctor about eating patterns. But if you replace some simple carbs with complex carbs it should help you blood sugar levels throughout the day. Education is key when it comes to understanding the macronutrients and what your body needs. Stay with it and you will see results.
Oh a little about me I have 3 children and use to be a long distance runner in the army. When I started this roughy 3 months ago I weighed 310 pounds now I'm down to 290 and I have not been 100 percent loyal to the program. However it works stick with it and you will reach your goals.0 -
I agree....get you lots of pals! They will help guide and support you through your journey. We're all headed for the same goal....losing weight, being healthy, and looking good Good luck to ya. I'll send you a friends request0

Welcome to MFP!
About ordering out, I'm in the same spot. Fast food is so convenient and with roommates it's just sometimes convenient because when I get home I can't always guarantee there WILL be food. But there are quite a lot of healthy options. Denny's and IHOP now have calorie counts right on the menu!
And for your hypoglycemia, I would suggest snacking on things heavy in protein. You get a full feeling and it sustains your blood sugar really well.0
