I was wondering about what sizes women where. I'm about 41" waist and 46" in the hips (I have "child bearing hips"). I"m a size 16W and I'm 5'3. I'm wondering if anyone knows about how much weight I need to lose to be a size 14. I'd love to reach this goal by Nov 15! (I have a special occasion that day).

    Everyone is different.
It depends on body type and composition.
    I am a loose size 14 currently.
But I know people weigh a bit more then me who are a 14 and I know people who weigh less and are a 14. So, there is not right or wrong weight.

I have heard every ten pounds is a dress size. I have lost around 40 lbs and I am 4 sizes smaller, so it worked in my case.
  • I have a 47 inch waist and 57 inch hips and I wear a size 26W. (usually)

I'm 5'3" and was wearing a size 18W jeans when I started this site. I also have childbearing hips. I'm down to a size 12 (Faded Glory eased fit) now after losing 27 pounds. I'm sure you'll be able to reach your goal by November 15. Good luck to you. :flowerforyou:

I have lost 29 lbs. and am still in the same size it's just looser now. So nobody is the same! You CAN do it!

when i was 30 lbs lighter than i am now i was in a size 14
when i started this diet/joined mfp i was an 18
    i've lost 20lbs and now im a 16
so, when i lose another 30lbs i'll probably be in a size smaller than 14
it depends on where the weight goes maybe?

I'm currently a sz.16WP, but it is loose. I remember weighing just 15lbs. less than I do now, and in a sz.14. But I'm also vertically challenged. :ohwell: My ideal size would be in the juniors - sz.5. That's another 10" from my waist away. :indifferent: feels so far away right now.

I started my weight loss journey weighing 275 and wearing a size 22. Now 60+ pounds lighter I am wearing a size 16. Some are too large, but haven't found any 14s that fit comfortably enough--little too form fitting! oh, and I'm also 5' 8".
