Sadly, my weight loss has come to a screaching halt. I'm below the recommended calorie target most days, but I'm just not losing anything. :(

A friend of mine was telling me about someone who studied this and suggests you increase your calorie intake one day, decrease it the next few days and so on... Anyone know where I can find information on this or how it works?

Thanks.

  • yes...its called the zig-zag diet. They suggest still having the same caloric intake per week but, to switch it up a little. So, like you were saying more one day less the next. Your body has gotten used to the normal number, you need to "confuse" it a little to kickstart the metabolism again :) Good luck

Are you getting enough protein? The nutritionist I work with suggest at least 60 grams of protein a day for weight loss. I know when I'm OFF my protein supplements, I stop losing. (They are SO nasty, that I try to get at least 60 with my food!)

Are you still working out? Change up your routine! I've heard that works.
Plateaus have happened to me in the past too... so I'm probably not the best person to give advice on it, but I'm determined to make it work this time! Good luck!
