In need of a new scale!

I weighed in on Monday, and was a bit frustrated to find I hadn't lost any weight, but had lost 0.5 inches off my waist! I do know that this happens, but then I was talking to my husband, and he told me that he thinks our scale isn't working anymore... he checked his weight 3 consecutive times, in the same place in the bathroom, with him in the same exact position, just to test it out after I told him about my zero weight loss for the week. Each time was a different number, with one number being 2lbs higher than the other numbers! While I'm not sure if I truly lost weight or not (but the inches don't lie - NSV!), I think it's time for a scale that works! Any suggestions for a good scale?? I live in a small town... I need one that I can get at Wal-Mart or Target. Speedy replies appreciated... I'm going right after my workout this morning! Thanks!

  • Same EXACT thing happened with my scale a few months back.
I bought one from Walmart and got it home and it was broken. (Which sucks cause I am RURAL and live 45 minutes away LOL) Took it back and got another - Its just a middle of the road white one - I didnt get one with all the bells and whistles, just plain weight tracker one, I believe it was 19 bucks. Works fine!

Mine was off by 10 pounds! so I thought I had lost 26 lbs and it was only 16 lbs! ARGH! I have been looking at the weight watcher's scale that does body fat as well. doesn't seem that expensive and I have seen good reviews. I have not gotten it yet so I can't speak personally to the quality but let us know which one you get and let us know what you think!

we have a w/w digital one. It was $50 or $60, but it's lasted 6 years so far.
  • So you think the ones that measure body fat percentage are accurate, or at least semi-accurate?
