    5. Any wedding news updates: We just confirmed with our DJ/Photobooth guy that he got on contract in the mail. He told us he went to a bridal show on Sat and had 2 brides wanting to book him for our date! So many people are picking that date (alot on the knot) its crazy....I didn't know Sept was a popular month!

    Something to add: last night a read an email from our DJ. He sent us some reccomendations for photographers and limo and such. Because he is a small bussiness, he networks with other small bussinesses. It turns out that the photography company is someone that my neightbor used for her wedding last May, the only flyer I kept from a bridal event, and they are a best pick from TheKnot for 2010 and 2011! We are going to make an appointment with them hopfully next saturday to look through everything. Should be fun!

    4. Do you have a wedding” theme”: Southern Plantation I guess?... we're getting married at a manor house with a beautiful view of the Shenandoah Mountains. I've been trying to keep the decorations and items southern style like we are doing Jams and Jellies for our favors with ribbons and tags. Below is a picture of our venue:

    Had to post a pic of my venue, too :) We're overlooking the water but not on the beach, which is exactly what we wanted. Hopefully the weather will be like it is in the picture, too!

    1. Weight loss/inches lost this week: I've decided to change my weigh in day to tomorrow so I'll post my weight loss tomorrow (hopefully I'll have something to post!)

    2. Highlight of the past week: (not weight, just something exciting that happened): It was my birthday! And since my birthday I have been committed to the JM 30 day Slimdown Challenge which includes exercises from her 30 day shred, No More Trouble Zones, and Banish Fat Boost Metabolism videos.

    3. Lowlight of the past week (not weight, just something that you need support with): Ugh the super bowl party I went to. I did so awesome with my workouts on Saturday and Sunday and I feel like I ruined it all at the party! So many dips and chips and meatballs and cheesecake and pies! Bllllaahhhh

    5. Any wedding news updates: I GOT MY WEDDING BAND!!! Kay Jewelers was doing a 25% off all items sale this weekend so we just did it! And I didn't mean to get another 1 kt worth of diamonds but after seeing it on I had to have it :-) ooooppss blew the budget on that one! lol.. picture below

    6. What is your exercise plan and are you sticking with it: YES! Joined a group on here for a February challenge to do the Jillian Michael's 30 day slimdown. Today my fiance decided to join me and I couldn't help but laugh as he sweated and panted and kept giving up halfway through the exercises because it was too hard (we were doing the shred level 1!). A little worried about his pride since he always considers himself a "natural athlete". :-P

    7. When I crave ____, I eat ____ instead to be healthy: Ice cream, I eat a 100 calorie klondike bar.. sooo delicious and curbs my craving.

    8. How did you do with the week 5 challenge (adding diary to your diet): Umm I guess normal? I feel like I eat a lot of dairy anyway because I lloovvee cheese and I eat yogurt any days I'm feeling fat.. lol

    9. Weekly wrap up: It was a really great week minus the super bowl party! I need to learn to control myself around party foods! I'm excited that I've stuck with the February challenge and I'm going to keep pushing myself to stay with it!

    Your wedding band is GORGEOUS!! We got ours at Kay also, but it was before Christmas. I don't remember seeing the one you got.....if I had....i probably would have gotten that! My engagement ring is from Kay and it's very unique so it was impossible to pick a wedding band to go with it.

    Oh, and as far as the inviting thing goes....Unfortunately, money is really tight....so my fiance's Dad and Step-Mom are paying for almost 90% of the wedding. I feel awful. But even then, they haven't forced a guest list down our throats. Chris is the only son in the family and I am the first child in mine to get married.....but my parents are letting Chris and I choose who we want at the wedding because it is our day, even though it is special for them, too. I hope things work out for you!!!

    1. Weight loss/inches lost this week: Only lost .2 this week but it was So exciting to see 145.8 on the scale after it wouldnt budge past 146 for 2 weeks!! :o)
    2. Highlight of the past week: (not weight, just something exciting that happened): We did our taxes and it looks like we may not be in as much debt as we though after all this is over and done with! :o)
    3. Lowlight of the past week (not weight, just something that you need support with): My fiance is doing all his paper work and such to join the Air Force after the wedding....:o( Scary
    4. Do you have a wedding” theme”: Hot pink and Bling....hah Does that count? :o)
    5. Any wedding news updates: Well here's the story. First of all let me tell you that i am a very mild mannered person, and it takes a lot to get me fired up....that being said i'm getting quite upset at my jeweler!!!! I have been trying to get a wedding band since before Christmas!!!!! The one that i absolutely LOVE it out of my price range at $3800!!!! That's almost as much as my engagement ring! Ha! So i wanted them to make me a ring just like that one but thinner with less/smaller diamonds and see if they can get closer to my price range of around $2500....needless to say this must be incredibly difficult to give me a quote because i had to call them Friday and see what the heck is going on and the girl i have been working with said Oh my i still have not heard back from Hearts on Fire, let me see if i can get a hold of them....SO i guess i SHOULD hear something this week, which i have heard numerous times. If i didn't like the ring so much i would walk, but its perfect! :o(
    6. What is your exercise plan and are you sticking with it: Zumba at least 2 days a week...i think that may be causing my plateau :o(
    7. When I crave ____, I eat ____ instead to be healthy: sweets, fruit. *sunsweet dried mangos is my guilty pleasure!!!!! They are amazing...BUT they have to be the sunsweet brand!
    8. How did you do with the week 5 challenge (adding diary to your diet): eh, not doing so hot with that. I honestly have not been logging every day like i used to. but i still check the message boards every day! hahahhahahahahahhahahaha dyslexia kicked in there!!! i seen dairy and thought diary! hahahah I actaully did better i added more milk and yogurt than normal.

    2. Highlight of the past week: (not weight, just something exciting that happened): Found out I DON'T have a warrant out on me LOL, when I got in my car accident a couple months ago the officer told me I did and I needed to have it checked out. Man, I've been so worried about that for nothing!

    3. Lowlight of the past week (not weight, just something that you need support with): My best friend is bailing on having a bachelorette party or anything for me...stupid!

    4. Do you have a wedding” theme”: No not really, it seems I'm leaning toward a lot of white though to go with my Davids Bridal "Horizon" and "Oasis" colors

    5. Any wedding news updates: Not really, my fiance is officially stressed out about how much money food is going to cost...welcome to my world LOL

    6. What is your exercise plan and are you sticking with it: Don't have one yet.

    7. When I crave ____, I eat ____ instead to be healthy: Buffalo wings/buffalo pretzel crisps, you can have 10 for 110 calories and they are pretty big! Yummy!

    8. How did you do with the week 5 challenge (adding diary to your diet): I don't eat much dairy...it messes with my allergies and I think I am lactose intolerant.

    So last night I was planning on eating 1/2 of a bakery M&M cookie left from sundays football party. Just before I was going to eat it I got a wonderful facebook note from my fiances cousin. She was looking at my pics and said she couldn't beleive how good I look now and she really could tell all the hard work I have done. I was like WOOOHOOO! I didn't eat the cookie and I didn't even want to eat it. I was on such a high from her really nice note. I JUST SAID NO!!!!

    @ #2--- That's awesome! It is such a great accomplishment! Way to reach your goal! I am about 10lbs away from moving from the overweight BMI to normal BMI.

    @ #3---My fiance plays the snare drum in a bagpipe band. I have come to love the whole scottish heratiage. He oftne plays for weddings. He competes all summer long across the mid-west of the US and I love seeing everyone dressed up...and everyone drinking! haha We are not sure if we will be asking the band to play for us. We were thinking about playing us out of the church and for a few minutes outside.

    Thanks for the pat on the back! Helps keep me on the right track. Sounds cool about your fiance - its so nice to see that the tradition is kept up all over the world - kinda makes it that bit smaller in a way.

    Keep up the good work too - you're doing a brilliant job with this thread and I hope your wedding prep is going well so far.

    5. Any wedding news updates: I call venues and they are all happy for me and helpful, then once I tell them my budget (3000) they stop calling back! WTF, poor people want to get married too! *kitten* holes!
    6. What is your exercise plan and are you sticking with it: Um... I am in wedding planning mode and the exercising has been a no go
    7. When I crave ____, I eat ____ instead to be healthy: I eat what I crave, just smaller amounts of it.
    8. How did you do with the week 5 challenge (adding diary to your diet): I love milk so that was not an issue
    9. Weekly wrap up: I am feeling very down about having a nice wedding. I have waited 9 years to be able to plan this day and now I feel like crap. Everyone I talk to tells me $3000 is doable, but whatever! Venue and food only maybe, but not dress, not flowers, not even alcohol! My sister told me about a wedding she went to last year and how horrible it was because they didn't have enough food, no alcohol, and how it was "very cheaply" done. I don't want my guests to think that about my wedding! But I am not doing to make my kids starve for a year to make my dream wedding. Why do things cost so much, it is making me crazy. Plus I went to see a cute little Bed and breakfast on Sunday and found out the "all inclusive" is for weddings 150+ guests. I thought this was going to be fun! It's NOT!

    4. Do you have a wedding” theme”: we're getting married october 15th, so we're going on natural fall themes

    I love the natural idea! We have looked at a couple of natural decor items and are really loving the look!

    It just seems natural (no pun intended) to do the organic look for fall. so many inspirations!!
    i think one of my favorite ideas is that our flowergirl will be holding a dark reed basket with a moss-like material woven into the top!

    1. Weight loss/inches lost this week: 0 (PMS - I'm just trying to keep bloating and overeating at bay)
    2. Highlight of the past week: (not weight, just something exciting that happened): Got eyeglasses for the first time ever, and not only is it nice to finally see far into the distance, but I think I have that sexy librarian look :)
    3. Lowlight of the past week (not weight, just something that you need support with): PMS. How do you control unstoppable cravings?!? And it zaps my energy.
    4. Do you have a wedding” theme”: Vintage (1930s glamour) touches
    5. Any wedding news updates: Getting my first dress fitting this weekend. EEK! But the seamstress tells me I have to stay the same size - i take it home the next time I go in? I thought I had another fitting closer to my July wedding date? I want to lose a few more inches!!!
    6. What is your exercise plan and are you sticking with it: Alternating cardio and weight machines at the gym and yoga/pilates at home. I'm sticking with it, but I can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can burn some calories outdoors.

    I am super excited to find this group! I am undertaking this VERY early, but I want to be able to enjoy my fitness, not stress about it in the months and weeks and days leading up to the wedding. The nice thing is my future hubby is doing it with me! We don't have very far to go (10-15 pounds), but man do we ever want to get there!

    1. Weight loss/inches lost this week: Started last week and down 4 pounds!
    2. Highlight of the past week: (not weight, just something exciting that happened): Bought our V-Day dinner/dance tickets to see a potential band for the wedding!
    3. Lowlight of the past week (not weight, just something that you need support with): Had to miss my best friend's birthday party because I couldn't get off work
    4. Do you have a wedding” theme”: Nope just colors. White and charcoal!
    5. Any wedding news updates: I have asked my matron and maid of honor to stand up for me! And the V-Day tickets
    6. What is your exercise plan and are you sticking with it: 20-30 mins vigorous cardio/day and 15-30 minutes of strength training
    7. When I crave ____, I eat ____ instead to be healthy: A LOT OF chocolate I eat A LITTLE chocolate instead (100 cal snack)
    8. How did you do with the week 5 challenge (adding diary to your diet): had not found you guys yet!
    9. Weekly wrap up: I am super optimistic about my food/exercise plans. This is the first time I do both together, and I am loving the results so far!

    4. Do you have a wedding” theme”: Nope not really, it's an evening wedding. It will be very traditional and elegant with mostly black and white
    5. Any wedding news updates: Not really lately, we got a lot of the big things reserved so now...we are just saving money! :-)
    6. What is your exercise plan and are you sticking with it: I am NOT doing well exercising...I don't really have a plan, that may be part of the problem :-/

    9. Weekly wrap up: This week I didn't do AS well with my eating choices. I stayed under on my calories but was eating/drinking things that weren't the best choice. Luckily, I was able to still lose but this next week I am going to work hard to make sure I am eating those healthy choices more than not. :-) Also, I'm kinda nervous to go dress shopping because I want it to be fun...and I am afraid I will hate it because of the way I look. I keep putting it off.

    5. What are you most looking forward to in your wedding: Saying our written vows to each other in the presence of all of our family and friends and the reception! It's going to be so fun!

    6. Any wedding news updates: Going this weekend to help two of my bridesmaids pick their dresses!

    7. What is harder for you, dieting or exercise: They're both pretty tough. I wanna eat what I want and I always say I'll just exercise later but sometimes it doesn't get done or I'll get tired after half and hour and really should be doing an hour.

    8. How did you do with the week 5 challenge (10 min of stress relief): Just starting but last week was not good for me. I gained two lbs from eating way to much and not exercising. This week had a much better start though
