i posted a similar topic about this not to long ago..but has anyone done it and what results have u seen? i hear u loose in inches and not pounds. i started it but then got to busy the past few days so im starting from day 1 again today..and no missing days.
im not wondering if u get results after 30 days cause im sure u would have to see something..but did anyone gets results in the 1st 10 days? just doing circuit 1?
or do u not see any results until the whole 30 days is completed.
what were your results?
and is there anyone who did it/ doing it that only has those last few pounds to loose? i know i am and its much harder to loose the last lbs but i just wonder if u get the same results for someone who has to loose 9 pounds and tone compared to someone who had to loose 50.

I have done the 30 day shred in the past, and yes I did see results... No I was not "shredded", but I did lose some weight.
Now, on the other hand, my husband also did the 30 day shred with me. And it did do a lot for him. He started out at 200 lbs (he is 6 ft 1) and in 3 months has dropped to 190. The shred did not get him super buff, but it did show him some results and that motivates him to keep going!
I will say, after about 10 days of circuit 1, you will be ready to move on to circuit 2. I have never made it past circuit 2 though.
I hope it works for you!0 -
I have lost 8 pounds in the last month. I am doing the 30 day shred and eating right. I think it is the combination, not one or the other. I don't have a lot of time to work out or a gym membership. I get up in the morning at 5, do this dvd, sometimes add 10 or 15 more cardio minutes, then I'm off for the day. I had 30 pounds to lose when I started this and 22 left to go!0

Its been some time since I've done it. I still had 10-20 pounds to lose then. I didn't lose many pounds while doing it - in fact it was probably 0. I did lose inches. I didn't measure so I can't tell you how many but I could see muscle definition in places that I haven't seen in a long time. My clothes fit better and I just felt better.
After I ended that program I went back to mostly cardio and focused on that a bit more and lost more pounds then than I had just doing cardio before. I attribute it to having more muscle through the Shred.
These were my experiences anyway. Hope it helps.0 -
I am very curious about this too! I just started it last night! The only thing that I'm kinda bummed about is that I leave for a 10 day vacation on the 17th!0

I just finished the 30 Day Shred this morning. I did 30 consecutive days, no breaks. I lost a total of 10lbs. 4.5" off my waist and 3.5" off my hips. I'm happy with the results and am going to keep on going with another JM dvd. One thing I was was consistant ... I did not get too busy or make excuses not to do the workout. There were days that I wanted to skip! And I watched what I ate. Hope this helps.0

Oh, you asked about seeing results throughout...sure you can see more definition during the 30 days. It does build up, so after 30 days you will see that you are more toned than at day 10, but you still have results at day 10. It is pretty hard core for only being a half hour of working out.0

Me too!! Up at 5AM. No time as a busy working mom to do the gym thing. Often I added a Leslie Sansone dvd onto the end of my Shred workout.0 -
My daughter did the 30 day shred for her wedding. She said it was so hard but worth it. For her first wedding dress fitting she was a size 12 and theynhad to take it in to a size 8 when she finished the shred. She also lost around 18 pounds. I believe she did see results the first week or she wouldn't of had the energy to do the next 3 weeks. Add pilates the 3 weeks after doing the shred and those last few pounds and inches should come off.0

It does work, but I used it at the BEGINNING of my my weight loss. I did see results in the first 10 days and over the 30 days I def. lost more inches than pounds. That being said, to lose my last 10 I really had to work my butt off and there is no way Shred would have done that. A 20 minute workout just wouldn't have done it even though it is a really tough 20 minutes. I didn't have that much weight to lose to begin with, my original goal was 20 pounds and I think I may have lost 5 or 6 in the 30 days doing Shred, I didn't miss one day. What I loved about it was it got my in shape to do her way harder and longer DVD's, THEN do P90X which is how I finally lost the last 10 and then some.0

thats awesome. thanks. and soccermom: what do u eat! it took me 7 MONTHS to loose 8 pounds. i have another 9 pounds till my pre pregnancy weight of 120 and 13 lbs to my goal..and i get so bummed cause i feel like its gonna take almost another year to loose 9 pounds. i try to eat as healthy as i can but my budget is tight so i cant spend alot..i bought a weeks worth of fruit and veggies and all healthy stuff and it cost over 200 bucks. i cant do that every week. so i buy small amounts of fruits and veggies. lots of chicken.
i hope that i can see results by the end of the 10 days. it will be my daughters 1st bday party. then by the end of circuit 2, i will be going out for my birthday and i hope i can look a little better then i do now.0 -

yah its been hard for me too. i do her banish fat dvd but cant seem to finish it, im always 1 circuit off. but ive been doing that for months and i average a pound a month. so i figured maybe this will change things up and i can loose some inches. cause i hate loosing a pound a month and cant stand the thought of it taking another 9 months to loose 9 pounds0 -
I'm on my 9th day. I started at 162.4lbs. I weighed in yesterday & was down 3 lbs. (I'm tracking calories too ) I have a little more to loose then you. My mini goal was to loose 7.5 lbs in 5 weeks. I'm almost halfway there and it's only been a week. My long term goal is to loose 22-27lbs. I'm confident it is going to work, but I am also incorporating Yoga, Zumba, & hopefully I can get some good days for jogging in.0

I am on Day 24 of my 30 Day shred. In 6 days I will do my after measurements... however, most of my clothes are fitting better... Because I am near my "goal" weight, I have not lost a whole lot of weight doing the 30 day shred. As mentioned previously, you must do both the dvd and diet...0

Today is Day 8 for me (I start Level 2 on Monday)...and I took my new measurements today (should have waited until tomorrow, but I was too anxious).
Waist: 1.5 inches lost
Hips: 1 inch lost
Chest: 2 inches lost
Neck: 1 inch lost
Total of 5.5 inches lost0 -
Yes, within the first 10 days I lost a total of 4.5 inches and 4 lbs. I am now on Day 8, Level 2 and don't think the scale has gone down (and I haven't measured again yet), but my clothes fit way better and I can tell my shape has changed.
Good luck!0
