    Just a reminder of our weekly challenges:

    Week 1: Write something you LOVE about your body everyday! --DONE!!
    Week 2: Stay within 200 cal of your daily recommended total
    Week 3: Get in at least 15 minutes of exercise daily
    Week 4: Record every thing in your food/exercise diary daily
    Week 5: Post on the thread at least 5 times during the week
    Week 6: Try a new exercise, new video, or new machine at the gym

    SO...staying within 200 calories of our goal...I think this should be above OR under your goal calorie number! What do you think! I'm usually 200-400 calories UNDER my goal...so this will be hard for me, but I know it's super important to stay as close to your calorie goal as possible for your optimum "safe" weight-loss. Thoughts?

    This is gonna be really difficult because i'm always like some 500 + under my cal goal even after eating healthy and properly. Honestly, must we really do this? i am not under eating at all but somehow i just can not live upto my cal goal. Also i have noticed that MFP over estimates calories burn through work out. I'm kinda confused :(

    You don't HAVE to do any of the challenges. They are simply "challenges"...something to "challenge" yourself with. I am also always under in calories and this will be hard for me. But it is really supposed to be better for you if you eat your calories. Your body will start to store fat when you are under-eating. And especially if you are exercising a lot, you should be eating more. Sometimes I will be under-eating and not losing weight but if I start eating all my allowed calories, I then start losing again. It's all about metabolism. Your body needs fuel for exercising and just breathing even. If you don't eat enough, your body figures that is normal and will start storing so it is never in need of that fuel. So, the choice is yours...different things work for different people. But the challenge IS only for a week, so if you're up to it--challenge your body to eat those extra calories and see if it does anything for you! If not, it's only for a week and no damage done.

    Bump. My challenge will be to stay UNDER my goal as I have been stress eating junk like nobody's business, so my personal challenge will be to stay 200 calories UNDER my goal. If I don't reach my goal all days due to activity and such, I can live with that.

    Great job Clare! Awesome start to the challenge.

    I weigh in tomorrow, although I have no idea what is going on with my body. Between the stress of my mom's visit and then her wedding (very odd thing it was) I am currently 9 days late on my TOM but having all the symptoms (nope, not pregnant as hubby and I are "spade and neutered" :laugh: ). AND I have my GYN appointment and general practitioner appointment this week, so I get to get weighed TWICE. I mean who of us doesn't just love being weighed at that special time of month in front of mutliple people with your clothes on in the middle of the day. I know I'm looking forward to it. :sad: Anyway, enough drama.

    So for this week's challenge:
    M - Right on the money with my calories, so I guess that means I made it within the 200 range. :happy:

    On a side note, due to stress from the wedding, I went to CVS and bought multiple bags of circus peanuts, mary janes, black licorice, spice drops and proceeded to eat 75% of them in the 10 minute car ride back to where we were staying. I have put the picture as my wallpaper on my phone of all that junk. So my 2.5 year old niece and I sit and pretend to eat the candy to satisfy our craving.

    oh, well been really sick. going back to mY couch now that i have my house back. ate real food last night for dinner. steel-head fish, butternut squash, and potatoes. everything soft for me. after a week of eating ice cream, puddings, jello, cottage cheese, juices. it tasted soooo good. had eggs this morning.

    oh, i hear the couch calling me. company gone, now i can chill.

    GOOD morning!!!

    Well...starting a NEW challenge is always great motivation!! One pound down from last week...pretty happy about that! I at that point now where my body likes to stay put...hoping that staying within 200 calories (over OR under) I will see some good results! Also hoping for 3 runs this week. SO...mini goals for me this week...
    1. Get in at least 3 treadmill runs
    2. Avoid the scale except for my weekly weigh-in

    Only two this week, plus our group goal to stay within 200! I CAN DO IT!!! Am SO close to seing the 150's again...I want to SOOOOOO badly!!! (Clare and Arwamya...I am SO jealous!!)

    Plan for today:
    Food--
    B-Oatmeal, light juice, coffee w/sugarfree creamer
    S-Banana, breakfast bar
    L-FF Cottage cheese, wheatables, celery w/1 tbsp. natural PB, light yogurt
    S-String cheese, apple
    D-Turkey Fiesta Pie...YUM!! with a side salad
    S-Chocolate rice cake w/ cool whip free

    Exercise--
    JM Yoga Meltdown
    30 min. treadmill run

    Well a new challenge... a new week! .....
    My heels are healing ... slowly but surely! They are no where as sensitive as on saturday! So my goal today is to TRY something a little lighter! for exercise! cuz i dont wanna get OUT of it jus cuz my heels are hurt! ........ so ill focus on upper body today!!!!!! :)

    Mini Goals-

    1. Drink all my water
    2. Stay within 200 cals for my day
    3. work out three times (four if my heel gets better by the weekend)

    My wieght is from a few days ago. I had another weekend in bed this time with a head cold where I could hardly eat so the scale isn't moving anyway since fasting just slows down my metabolism. I am going to try and force myself to reach my calories every day this week.

    I think it is going to be mostly liquid calories though because I feel too ucky to eat.

    Not at all happy about my 2lb gain. It seems to be a pattern with me the past couple of weeks. I am so over it! I thought that last week with starting back to shredding I would start to see results. Maybe its a combo of building that muscle back(HOPEFULLY) and stress(MAINLY). DH is still looking for a fulltime job. I have noticed that every few days, I have to take breaks in between bits because I feel as if I might throw up. Is that normal for stress? I don't feel as if I am stressing but I guess deep down I might be. This might be a little TMI but I think the weight gain could also be the lack of BM, I have not been very regular. I think I might bump up my amount of fiber this week, and see if that will help.

    Congrats to all you losers, and stay positive Cathy and Datenshi, take your time and let your bodies rest!

    Hi everyone! I will have to save my weigh-in until tomorrow. Wish I could have used Sat AM weigh-in instead, because I was down 2 pounds. Then after the superbowl party - well , I don't want to talk about it (it was BAD) :sad:

    I tried Yoga Meltdown tonight! I really liked it! I burned 160 calories, and I'm not sure if that's good or bad. Better than nothing, I'd say.

    So besides staying within 200 cal, my other mini-goal is to exercise every day (except Friday which is my rest day). I really slack off on the weekends, Sunday mostly. I have a Valentines Day 15k to do on Saturday, so that will keep me moving! Maybe I'll have to take Sunday off just to recoop from the 15k. We'll see. I'm sure I can squeak out a little 1/2 hour if nothing else.

    So see ya tomorrow for weigh-in!

    Monday - Within calories.
    Tuesday - I believe I was within calories. Ate mostly fruits and vegetables all day with a little bit of cheese and pepperoni on my lunchtime salad.

    Put my gym clothes on first thing in the morning yesterday, missed the 9:30 am class due to work, then planned on Zumba and Body Attack at 5 and 6, if that didn't work then just Zumba at 6. Ended up being in the doctor's office for my husband's first physical ever for 2.5 hours so totally missed out on any exercise. So today, priority is to get to gym at 9 heck or high water.

    Going to try and remember to weigh in after the gym, but might have to wait til tomorrow. Ten days late on TOM, up most of the night with massively severe cramps. Didn't go to yearly check up yesterday because I couldn't handle being poked and prodded with these stinking cramps. After my husband's physical, I told him now he has just a very teeney, tiny taste of what us women have to go through (and that doesn't include childbirth).

    Okay, enough whining for me.

    Cathy - I hope you are feeling better very soon.

    Congrats to all the weight loss this week. This challenge has definitely had a great start. Time for me to get on the ball too ;)

    Well...so far so good this week.

    Mini Goal (Stay within 200 calories of goal):

    Got in my 30 minute treadmill run and then did my JM Yoga Meltdown. Felt GREAT!

    L-Turkey, 1 oz. cheese, spinach and mustard on light whole wheat, baby carrots, light yogurt
