I have noticed for the past couple months that on the days I workout I am not hungry at all
and on the days I dont, I feel like I'm starving.I'm wondering if this is a physical thing or a mental thing.
Am I really not hungry or is it that mentally I think I dont want to ruin what i just did .Or is it a combination of the two.
OR maybe i'm freakn crazy and I'm the only one in the world this happends to.

Sounds to me like boredom eating, but working out you have kept busy. You may be fueling better before or after your work out too, which makes a difference or hydration could be the cause - better hydrated on work out days.0

Maybe you make better choices the days you work out? Higher protein and fiber meals. Or like above posted said maybe you have more boredom eating on the days you don't work out because you have more free time?0

This happens to me crazy lady! I worked out yesterday and barely made it to 1200 cal and the other days I dont work out I feel like I am eating everything in site!0

actually I've heard that when you workout it triggers your body to release hormones that curb hunger.... but it should only last for an hour or 2 after your workout, not the entire remainder of the day.0

Yes! Especially when I am at wrestling practice. All fo the movement and exercise somehow curbs my appetite. But when I am relaxed...the next day...wow am I hungry! This happens to my kid too...he does not want to eat after football or wrestling. He just says he's not hungry. But the next day, if you are a cow, you had better watch out!0

Yes this happens a lot. I think I've read that on the days you do not work out, your body is still burning calories. So, you may feel hungrier or the days you do not work out.0

You aren't the only one. This happens to me too and apparently a lot of other people on this thread.0

The repair and growth happens in recovery so if you ate less the day you worked out you might not have much left for your body to use in repairing itself, hence the hunger. Just my theory anyway.
I try to keep it balanced regardless and don't usually have this problem. There is one week a month I have to bump up the protein a bit though or I am starving for a few days. Higher protein seems to help me in that respect.

That happens to me. Typically immediately after working out and perhaps even for several hours I'm not hungry. I think the activity must curb the appetite in some of us. There are days when I'm starving though... and it can be on days I don't work out or several hours after a work out. It just depends. Must be the way your metabolism works or something.0
