Maybe not save up for later- a balance throughout the day is best. Maybe you do need more calories earlier in the day?
  • oh that's not a bad idea.....thanks
  • I know that is the best way to eat but I am one of those dieting guys who loves to cook.....and eat
  • What works for me when I do it is to plan my whole day from breakfast to dinner first thing in the morning or the night before. Then I know where I am at and if I have any "extra" cals to eat if I feel like it. IT really helps me make the healthiest choices for my day. I find I often will switch something out and substitute it with something a bit healthier. If I can see how my day plays out nutrition wise.

With doing the meal plan at the beginning of the day I can take a step back when I am feeling hungry and drink some water and wait. And if I am still feeling hungry I will eat half of something I planned for a different time.

I also really try to give myself a good amount of protein in the morning. And try to have a mid morning snack that is a good source of fiber. That helps curve my appetite.
  • That's a really good idea, do you do your shopping accordingly? I mean do you plan out your meals and then go to the store or create meals from things you already have?
  • That depends on the week. Some weeks are tight. But when I shop I am trying not to be junk and just healthy mostly fresh and raw foods and less processed junk. That always helps give me the healthiest options available. I'm just getting back on the wagon so this is new to me again :)

Do not save. It back-fires. Honor your hunger and your fullness.
