Hellp my MFP's friends I have a quick question for you all. I have been upping my water intake, and here lately it seems the only way I can get it in is if I drink sparkling water. It's from walmart, fruit flavored (naturally) no cals, no carbs, sodium anything like that so its 0 across the boared. But I was reading the label last night and it said it had Aspartame in it. Is this bad to drink all the time ? I love the taste and Im a huge pop fan, and this helps because of the bubbles lol
I was just wondering, I love the stuff...but didn't know if it would hurt or not. I think the brand is Clear American. Thanks for reading..Im fairly new and trying to figure all of this out

I'm a huge soda fan, and I've found that Poland Springs brand of sparkling water is working for me, it isn't sweet so it's an aquired taste but theres no sugar or sugar substitute (which people say when your trying to lose weight you should avoid). The bubbles seem to be my saving grace0

I don't like fake sugar. I also don't like plain water. My compromise is to put a few drops of lemon juice in a glass of cold water, and drink it that way. It adds just a little flavor to make it tasty, but no calories, and no chemicals.0

Saw on the news last night: **more research needed**. Diet soda drinkers increase their risk of heart disease by 61%. Gotta love those artificial sweeteners.0

I drink plain old seltzer water. Can squeeze lemon or orange into it.0

I have heard that it can trick your body into thinking it is getting sugar and it is not as good as everyone thinks it is. Anyways try putting some lemon juice into your water. It is a good way to clean your body out.0

Aside from the sweethere, any drink which is carbonated can cause earlier onset of osteoporosis. So us girls should stay clear of them. I'm sure occasionallymwould be ok.0

I don't know about the Aspartame (but, since it's not natural I really question it...), but my big thing when I drink sparkling water is that I get bloated--even the no-sodium kind! If you want to avoid the fake-sugar, try non-sweetened brands--LaCroix makes flavored ones (it's def. an acquired taste it you're used to the sweet!), like Berry and Lime. But I've even got my daughter drinking it instead of her juice, so it's good across generations0
