Ive been down the WW road too many times, only to give up too easily on it---too many choices for me, to be honest.0

I would personally recommend NOT doing weight watchers and diligently doing MFP.0

I'm on WW right now and loving it0

Weight watchers is great for picky eaters, because essentially nothing is off limits. BUT this site is free and is essentially the same thing other than you aren't weighing in in front of people or paying $40 a month to do it. I agree with the last post. Just diligently log on MFP and you are doing the same thing.0

I agree with both. WW is good but its too much to keep up with. MFP is great because it is calories...bottom line. And MFP is so user friendly. I've been down the ww road one too many times myself.0

I've done weightwatchers a few times but my vote goes to MFP. It really works!!!!0

MFP.. all the way. This site is free and nothing is off limits- u just have to be diligent and honest when you log your food and exercise.....0

Weight watchers is a great start to get off a lot of initial weight. However if you eat fairly healthy foods already i would not recommend it cause it will teach you to make bad choices. If you don't eat healthy and have a hard time resisting a lot of fried foods, candy, chips..stuff like that - it perfect cause it will teach you to make good choices and really cut down on your portions.
But to be honest it will not bring you all the way. If you want to really tone up that body you will have to get more specific in your eating. So I would say it is a great start if you have a lot of weight to lose- you will lose weight on it, but once you stop it's a really hard thing to try twice.
-that's just from my personal experience0 -
Did WW myself and everyone is right--you are paying to go get weighed and the thing I did not like is that you do not get to see the scales--at least at the one I went to--so who is the say that you gained or lost--one week you are down and two weeks later you are back up-- I just joined MFP and it is great and it is FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

I've had more than 1 MFP friend tell me that MFP is the same as WW except for the wieghing in in front of others. MFP is FREE. And FULL of support!
The only reasons I could see for joining WW is two fold; no. 1 -you know that you need the humiliation of being in front of others.
or no. 2 -you refuse to be honest with yourself and don't trust yourself to log EVERYTHING you eat.
I absolutely LOVE MFP - I am as lazy as they come. But I find myself even jotting notes on the weekends (I can't log in then) to make sure I don't miss anything because I really like my new friends and I do not want to decieve anyone. I love that even my morning stretches count toward exercise. Or cooking and housecleaning burns calories! MFP has become my new addiction -I hardly ever go to my facebook page any more!0
