The think with diet sodas right now is that they contain artificial sweeteners that, in infancy were listed as components of chemical weapons. Neotame is the technical name for a new sweetener developed by Monsanto Chemical Corp. It is reported to be approximately 8,000 times sweeter than sugar. The chemical formula for neotame was published in the February 10, 1998 Federal Register. It is quite similar in structure to Monsanto's toxic sweetener aspartame. There have not been any legitimate, independent, long-term human studies on neotame. http://www.holisticmed.com/neotame/
This is the link where I found the information. BTW Aspertame turns into formaldehyde in the body. This is also the reason my wife lost her hearing and it came back after she stopped drinking diet sodas.

Thanks, I read that study at my local newspaper and was a little bit concerned, I used to consume up to 3 diet cokes a day (I quit drinking diet colas a month ago), now I feel better, at least I wasn't damaging my health without knowing =)

I only limit myself to one or two a week.
I don't like artificial sweeteners. But I'm the type of person that says "you can get cancer from anything now and days. Might as well enjoy"

If we want a soda now we drink one of the throwbacks that have real sugar I haven't had hardly any soda in two months. We have a 12 pack of throwback sitting in the fridge and only one is gone. I only drink water and milk now.
