So i went to a nutritionist for some advice and she told me to forget about eating every 3 hours; to cut it down to 3 small meals a day and keep doing lots of cardio. She also asked me why in the world am i taking vitamins? "Vitamins make you Fat." I'm like WHAT?! Are u kidding me lady? I'm anemic and im always tired when I exercise... so then what am i supposed to take? "Eat veggies, lots of them." Um i am eating veggies.
Anyone else disagrees with this nutritionist or heard this before? :noway:

I have never heard anything like this0

She basically has told you the exact opposite of the (certified) nutritionist I have seen in the past.
I say get a second opinion. She sounds a little nuts.0 -
I agree with the others. Get a second opinion. Or ask the pharmacist.0

Agrees...I was wondering if she was certified or not.....you have to be careful with nutritionists as they arent always very regulated0 -
I'm going back to school for nutrition and that advice is crap. Don't waste your time with her again!0

Often people don't need the standard "multi vitamin" if they are eating correctly, exercising moderately, and have no health issues. You, on the other hand have a specific need. I have NEVER heard of vitamin making you fat. 6 meals will make you fat if you don't adjust the calorie count of each meal accordingly to be within your daily goals. Go with what your dr tells you on the vitamins and find a new nutritionist!0

Its time to find another nutritionist. Everything she said is just out of left field. Did she consult with your primary physician before coming to these conclusions regarding your eating and vitamin intake? I guess not because no sane doctor would back that up.0

I would definately get my money back and ask to see his/her license the info she gave you is completely wrong. Basically you need to eat when you are hungry time is irrelavent. Stay at or under 1200 calories. Always drink a glass of water before you eat more often then none we are not hungry but dehydrated. Vitamins have 0 calories they can not make you fat. I take loads of Vitamins each day and have lost 90lbs.
good luck.

Maybe your nutritionist is getting confused between supplements and vitamins? Or macro nutrients (eg carbs, protein and fat) and micro nutrients (eg vitatmins)
I hope so because if not this is one of the most idiotic things I have heard in a long while...0 -
I think she is in need of some brain vitamins lol.0

i think you need to see someone who is prepared to run some tests on you, tell you what your body requirements are. A lot of it stems from your blood group so you may need to eat 6 small meals mainly protein, or three main meals mostly veg. You may require certain vitamins and minerals like calcium and iron. I would ask your doctor for a proper test so you can determin what works best for you.
I think the person you spoke to needs to do a bit more research before giving you advise that can mess everything up for you! Good luck x0 -
Just another excuse I can use when my pants don't fit. :ohwell:0

Lol. Well that was the best laugh I've had in a while.
I'd get yourself a new nutritionist as soon as possible.0 -

sounds like someone with an eating disorder giving bad advice to me! I've ONLY heard the exact opposite from everyone. Go see another nutritionist, make sure they are certified and recommended by successful/happy clients0
